Oh God. It’s the baby bear cubs in the tree punting minigame from Cata all over again
Ok that was fun.
That quest is what came to my mind too. I think its the only instance in the game to use that mechanic.
Why exactly are you using the royal we?
Because literally everyone on this forum who is currently posting is currently financially supporting Blizzard. This is a we thing.
“Engaging rare spawns”
…
As long as it’s not something stupid like Zato’jin, Consumption or worse, summonings with 3-5 man, I’m fine with that.
I agree. I didn’t mind jumping puzzles until SL but those uneven branches in Korthia, left to the exit of Keeper’s Respite, and the slippery orbs where it’s more luck than skill to get up on them really annoyed me.
Taking a lot from GW2 this expac… Problem with jumping puzzles in wow compared to GW2 is that wow’s jumping really sucks, we saw this with all the Zenith Mortis puzzles. They need to change the physics engine for jumping puzzles to be even a little bit satisfying.
I didn’t like jumping puzzles in Warlords and I still don’t like them.
Tacking on these one-off exercises in the game just doesn’t work for me. I want an open game world that makes sense, not one that has an arcade over here and an arcade over there.
For goodness sake, they need to stop focusing on these tacked on systems and focus on basic game content.
No more jumping puzzles please.
It’s a good way to have ppl NOT buying your product, adding more and more dumb crap like this. This dev team seems to be hellbent into killing WoW, ffs…
“Jumping Puzzles” we call those parkour last I heard and I HATE parkour also 100% bet some of them are gonna be borderline impossible unless you’re a Demon Hunter or Drakthyr Evoker like seriously starting to think I’d be better off skipping this expansion and just continue spending a couple hours every now and then doing Shadowlands stuff till I’ve eventually done all the quests and maxed out all the Renowns right as 11.0 releases
I’d like to see less “jumping puzzles” and more puzzles like the locked chests in Torghast.
I remember there was a toy back in Legion that had something similar that I used to play with for hours, it was a lot of fun.
They should play some of the old Sierra adventure games like Shivers/Shivers 2 to get some ideas for cool puzzles. I’d love to see more of that kind of stuff in WoW.
jumping puzzles
The more I hear the more excited I am for DF, it’s what I’ve been whining about wanting back for years, now.
Now, whether they deliver on it or not is where I remain skeptical.
How can these exist in a place where everyone has a flying dragon? Unless they’re inside of caves or something, I don’t see how they won’t just be cheesed by swooping down and grabbing the item/node/whatever the case may be.
rock climbing to me seems more like how we have the ZM teleport item and can scale from point to point like that.
or maybe they added something new.
hopefully realize that they’re called “rares” and make them actually rare spawns.
I know people who impulsively farm things wont like that, but I think naturally stumbling across a rare is a lot more fun than just camping its spawn for 2 minutes until it respawns.
Don’t be ridiculous! They’d never make it so simple.
They’ll also combine it with the Stormpeak proto-drake daily where you have to monitor your stacks of ‘grip’ and press that button every once in a while to stop yourself from falling.
Boom. Hire me plz Blizzard.
This expansion is going to be lit, son.
in Revendreth there are jumping puzzles that will un-mount you and force you to leave the area to mount again, I assume similar mechanics are in store for the future.
