So regarding the waterstrider losing its waterwalking ability, I understand it’s a nonissue we will just use the equipment now. An I think the new mount equipment is a cool idea (aside form none of the equipment being original ideas). But blizzard really couldn’t help themselves.

No matter what everytime they add something to the game they have to take something away.

Didn’t Ion just say in a recent interview they were going to stop doing that an accept that somethings will be a little messy.

Just makes me laugh no matter what with out fail everytime they add something “interesting” to the game it has to come with the removal of something else.

Well people that already have the mount will get the free piece of equipement to make ANY mount have the ability now. So…what are losing?

Refer to first line I stated I no it’s a nonissue I have had the mount since mop I just find it funny that without fail blizzard will remove something that didn’t need to be removed when they introduce something new. They just cant help themselves

getting the same ability for free on alts, i think. depends on how they plan to distribute the free version of the equipment, and if it will apply to newly-made characters

But…you aren’t losing anything. You’ll still be able to walk on water with the free equipment piece…

Quite a bit if the free piece of gear only goes to the character with the reputation instead of every character you have that’s eligible to use it. Then you’ll be forced to purchase it for every other alt and since the equipment is Bind on Account that’s probably going to be the case.

Just once I’d like a patch where no one finds a reason to be salty. :sweat_smile: Still waiting.

But sometimes things need to be removed. In this case, the strider can’t exist or it defeats the point of the equipment system. It’s a valid reason for removing it.

No, it really isn’t. The Golem is being left alone the Strider can be as well. That doesn’t prevent you from using the equipment on another mount to also get WW on it.

yes, but they’ve also said it would be a consumable. so, does that mean we get one and have to choose which character it goes to? which, again, means that some of our characters may have to buy somehting they used to already have.

I’m pretty sure the whole system is account bound once you have one level 100 character.

Ok one more time refer to the first sentence, I know it’s a nonissue an we are losing the waterstrider just having the ability without the equipment but once again a nonissue.

I just think it’s funny that no matter what they add they have to remove some thing pointlessly

if that’s the case, what happens when my DK wants anti-daze instead because he has path of frost, but i want WW on other toons? do i have to burn a consumable equipment each time i switch toons?

Yes it is, any toon above level 20 will be able to use the mount equipment. But I shouldn’t have to pay gold for something I already have on my alts.

However the items are character locked, so it’s on use for the characters mounts meaning to use on other chracters you will have to rebuy something you already have.

The water walking item is BoA, which just means that the character that has Angler’s rep can buy it and mail it to alts. It doesn’t mean that the one free item will work for all mounts on all characters. The water walking effect is limited to the character that uses it.

Nope. Your DK can use one item and your other toons can use another.

People are just mad because they put a lot of work(?) into getting their ww mount.

Which I can appreciate THEIR appreciation of work = reward.

It’s a hard place to be in though and I hope they can find enjoyment some with the new mount equipment.

The ability to use a leather barding to not be dazed and dismounted while we run across the big lake of water, then switch back to our other ground mount and keep running.

Now we will have to equip the non daze non dismounting equipment to run across all land and then stop at the water, equip the water walking equipment run across the open water, stop when we reach land and reequip the non dazing and non dismounting equipment. All at 1000g a pop, so 3k gold just for what we have already, And that is just ONE trip across the water.

Oh joy, I get to mail a piece of equipment back and forth every time I log into a new character just in case I need water walking.

You’re absolutely right, that’s much better than just using the mount I already earned. :roll_eyes:
