Agree. There’s virtually zero chance AI can’t be used to detect bots in 2024. They are SO incredibly obvious that it’s actually hilarious.

Blizzard is lieing to us.

They tolerate bots because it makes them money, plain and simple. They do ban waves every 6 months so they can milk 6-months of subs first. They know if they do the waves more often, it risks them becoming unprofitable, and they definitely don’t want that. They WANT bots to continue long-term profitability because it makes them money too.

That’s all bad, but what makes it worse is they lie to our faces about it. It’s so insulting.

We’re not stupid, Blizzard. I hope you continue to lose the respect and trust tour customers have given you since the 90s.

I would rather have the gold I spend in the Auction House go to another player in game rather than a bot. Anecdotally, I’ve heard guild members struggle to farm certain herbs/mining nodes due to bots camping know spawn locations. Just my 2 cents.
