Blizzard being scared to just give blood elves blue eye option

I feel like doing that would actually make it worse. Because then there’s a good chance the people are super into wanting High Elves would go Horde, and that’s the last thing we need.

That’s called spam and that’s how you lose your posting privileges. You can’t just “keep” spam going and think it will be fine forever. I’m sure Blizzard is just letting players vent for now, eventually they’ll be actioned for breaking the forum code of conduct.

i’d probably race change back to blood elf if they gave us blue eyes ngl, but then again i’ve been thinking about going back to blood elf for all the other cosmetic options they’re showing off on the Alpha

there’s literally 0 reason to not only give belf the blue option, but also add high elves to alliance.

there is 0 actual issue with the exact physically same race existing on both factions. any issue is one crafted in your own head.

they showed there is 0 issue with pandaren.

You guys already begged for a race that had no lore wise basis for being on your side. It’s why blood elves got added. You’re not really making a valid argument here.

if there were a large group of humans whose philosophical ideologies aligned with horde, there would be ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with them being playable on horde.

That’s kinda funny when Horde allready have 3 alliance races >.> One of which are humans.

I’d much prefer they gave Void elves human skin tones, and said that some of the alliance loyal high elves who are allready in the void elf Rift, have started becoming Void elves.

That way alliance get playable high elves both in Lore and in visals without adding any new races.

At this point, giving blue eyes to Bloodelves is simply going to come across as more spitefull than anything else. But, I guess thats what you were going for anyway isn’t it?

They totally could add another pirate faction that just hates SW and ally them with the horde. Not a single person in the universe would care.

Give everyone some new toy colored contact lenses that last until removed.

My guess, and it is just a guess, is that they won’t give High Elves to the Alliance. However, they also won’t do anything that completely kills the idea for people who want High Elves for the Alliance.

It’ll just be this forever.

Blue eyes to blood elves and void elves! Let everyone enjoy blues eyes.

Normal skin tones for Void Elves I’m against though. Then there is really nothing different between Blood Elves and Void Elves. I’m sorry my blueberry friends. )= We do need to seperate the two races SOMEHOW and skin/hair tone might be the only way. Void elves are not High Elves and it really really sucks that Void Elves were pulled out of the air but it was probably the best solution they could come up with so you could have the Blood Elf model.

That’s the problem. Trying to meet halfway is met with, “that’s just you being spiteful” instead of supposing they may have reasons for not wanting to make a third Thalassian elf playable race, and a second one for the Alliance.

I mean it really wasn’t the best soloution.
A few examples being…

  1. make the void elves happen from alliance loyal High elves, instead of being traitor horde bloodelves.
  2. Not give Alliance void elves, but give Alliance the high elves, and give them different idle animations (like nightborn have different animations to nightelves) so they are easy to tell appart.
  3. toggleable Void form, like the worgen human form.

Void elves are such a mess because, A) They are a horde loyal race that defected, B) they were pulled out of nowhere, and C) they came across as an insult and a joke to everyone who wanted High elves.

This 100%. At this point. No decision that can even be seen as “taking sides” is going to go through without major backlash from one side or another.

I wouldn’t do it. Like I said, I would never make it a playable race, but I’d never kill the idea completely.

Agree compleatly, they really did back themselves into a corner by adding void elves. They were a mistake on so many levels but its a mistake they can’t undo.

I’d love to see blue eyes on blood elves. I’m not sure why they haven’t added them. Faction barriers can yeet themselves as well at this point.

Poor void elves. I think they’re so cool.

According to the other High Elf thread going on. There was a player backlash. Because of Ion’s statement that “blood elves have evolved past blue eyes” or something.

The great mistake is that Blizzard just keeps brushing this aside to a cosmetic’s issue alone. It’s what got them in trouble to begin with and it will keep getting them in trouble for as long as they do it.
