2 of my characters moved server, and since the move we lost all our M+ information on our armory page. Any old key information is gone, any new keys we have done do not show.
Does anybody have any real workaround to this issue?
Trawling through Google and I can see this has been an issue since at least 2012 with players transferring and things never updating from that point on. But Blizzard has only ever told them “Use the Forgot Password option, it will force update your page.”
Well, that is a lie and it would be nice if my details actually updated so I can see what I have done without having to always rely on a third party site to give me the information I want.
Armory been messed up for along time ,I don’t think they’ll change it anytime soon.
Yeh and it affects us in game. I now have no proof of my competed mythic dungeons, therefore when I ask to join someones group I get nowhere because according to Blizzard I have never done a dungeon before.
Whilst my score before the transfer is still showing on raider, that is all it is doing. My alts can no longer be linked to my main since my main’s armory page is empty and this is where the information is taken from.
I literally have no real proof of any keys being done and since nothing shows on either of my characters who transferred, even NEW ONES, it means both of them will never have an updated armory page, nor an updated IO score, and moving forward find it quite difficult to get into groups.
It will update in time. It can take up to two weeks to fully transfer all the information over in most cases. In very rare cases, it can take longer. All you can do is wait.
And it can be worse even have achievements lost my bro had that to happen even ticketed it ,they said they couldn’t do anything about it. Bad part he can’t do it over because the quest was done.
It would be nice if you actually read my post.
I noted this has been something ongoing since 2012, all you need to do is Google it and you will find there have been armory issues for a lot longer than 2 weeks.
I have just looked over on the Website Bug forum and there are players there also reporting the issue with a lot longer time than a few weeks.
This is not an issue with waiting, it is a broken armory system. I just ran an old school raid, swapped specs, logged out instantly and my armory was updated with that information, new weapons on my weapon page, an update to the raid (I ran an old raid I have never done with this character), but my M+, information that was showing before the transfer, is gone, and new keys since, are not showing.
Yeh the more I read into this the more I realise armory is screwed with how much information gets lost.
I did read your post. You’re primarily complaining about your Mythic+ information. Mythic+ did not exist in 2012, so that has no bearing on what I said.
Alternatively, if you’re that upset over it, you can submit a ticket about the information not transfering over. Sometimes they’ll give it a little nudge.
I don’t think was she talking about mythic+in 2012 ,it was that it was on going problem with the armory starting back in 2012. Which it was really a mess .
Issues with armory have existed since 2012, at least.
Just google it, I cannot provide links on this character, but after a quick search the first result is from April 2017.
The issue in general is that the armory is breaks when players transfer accounts, I was making note of something simple to look at, like the M+ keys, yet players report things like missing achievements, missing information on raid completion, xmogs never updating, gear staying the same.
How are we to promote ourselves without third party sites if the armory breaks upon transferring?
My Armory is messed up too. I should be 2/2 N Crucible. After I cleared it with my guild it was showing 2/2. A couple days later I looked again and it was 1/2, also showing 1/2 on IO.
I posted about it in the bug forum.
Not only transfers ,it happen with patches and expansions. My sis had a pear of pvp boots she had back in mop totally disappear at the start of the expanse.
I’m not disputing any of that. I am more than well aware of the fact that the armory has been a hot mess from the moment it ever existed.
Given that both your first and second posts in the thread focused exclusively on your Mythic+ information not transfering (and thus causing you problems finding groups), I was simply offering the same information that we give to folks who come into the Raider.IO discord asking the same thing.
My mistake for sharing the knowledge we have on the matter, I guess.
The only information we really have is that the armory page breaks very easily and Blizzard are doing nothing to fix it and it has been at least 7 years since I can first find any information reporting this issue.
Telling someone though that your xmog is not updating means very little, but telling someone your M+ information is gone and not updating to any new keys is very bad, because now I have no proof of my completed runs, now my alts can no longer be linked to my main, now I have to start the entire key climb again on any new character until one of them hit higher than this character and swap that to my main on raider.
And if I ever transfer in the future again? I start all over again.
This only means I am being limited to what I can do in game thanks to armory issues.
I did a name change and lost all of my key history. New keys take a bit to update.
A bit, like a month or more? 2 years maybe? There are posts you can find floating around from years ago when keys were a thing that have never had an update in years.
Not entirely accurate. Your keys are still there, they’re just showing your old name instead of your new name. Once the armory registers the name change to the data (just click the View Party on any of your dungeons to check), you can do a Battle.net resync on the Raider.IO website and it should update everything appropriately.
Old characters, regardless of what change is done, are kept in the Raider.IO database as archives. The information is still there, they just have to wait for the Blizzard API to catch up to properly assign everything.
The majority of the instances we troubleshoot have a habit of resolving themselves on a reset day. Like I said though, there have been very rare cases that have taken longer and required a ticket for Blizzard intervention. If anyone should ever opt to open a ticket with them regarding that, don’t ever mention the third party sites or addons, you’ll end up with a stock response about addon issues and they’ll ignore the meat of the ticket.

Yeh, thanks, but this does nothing to fix the armory issue.
And since armory does not work your alts will never show in game as linked to your main, I am having this issue right now in that my rogue shows, nothing actually, not even their own score let alone my mains broken score shows on the in game addon.
And my rogue was a new character created that does have keys done in armory.
Go check it out on raider, you can see I have a score on all 3 of my characters, all same name, all same realm, but no score in game on my rogue and no score updates ever on my other 2, no new characters get linked to my main and my priest shows my old main score since before the transfer.
I ran across this thread because the problems still exists. Surprise, surprise! lol
Only shows that I ran two mythics…seriously? I’ve ran every dung on mythic +8 or so, but it’s not updating it.
