Blizzard allowing harasement in game?

How come we cannot have a world chat channel that these trolls wont be banning people from willynilly all day like LFG?

LFG works but I don’t like the spammyness of LFG when we just want to communicate with each other.

These trolls are in fact harassing people and Ive personally reported these fools everyday since launch and they’re still doing it. This is truly sad they are ruining the game for a lot of people and seriously draining morale. Funny they do the same stuff they claim to be banning people for and have macros banning 100s of people at a time its absolute crazy and needs to be fixed ASAP!!!

There’s a severe lack of details that prevent me from having any sympathy. What constitutes trolling in this case? Accounts are actioned based on receiving multiple reports from multiple people, so if they aren’t being actioned it’s likely you are among very few, if not the only one, actually reporting them, which leads me to believe they aren’t trolling and are just saying things you don’t like

I don’t think Blizzard has the resources to take on the internet as it has been forever.

There was a big case of this back in '19 with the Enclave guild on Grobbulus, they always gave each other ownership of the World custom chat to spread straight up N*zi propaganda.

IDK if there’s any precedent for taking action based off custom channel stuff, that guild only got slammed after making national news with their hijinks.

No I don’t need your sympathy I want Blizzards attention on this. I have suggested the solution.

We need another chat channel for everyone to talk in without worrying about prejudice or malice nuff said. If someone is reported thats Blizzards job to asses the situation not these trolls silencing people.

I say leave the custom chat channel to these trolls. We have a looking for group channel. They provided a services channel. Now we need a world channel so we can enjoy the damn game socially and keep morale high.

My toons are not banned from the custom chat channel by the way its how Im sitting here watching these clowns kick and ban people all day.

The realm is Nightslayer horde side. This guild Bonk are kicking and banning people all day long every day.

Check it out for your self it will not take long to see this guy Eggmod and his alts Eggluck, and Egglock, etc. With some cronnies Hollywood, Cba, Tardius, and several others in the guild banning other players and guilds entirely harassing 100s of people each day.

They boast like “Nuke incoming” before banning people then the chat box fills up with pages and pages which is spam which they claim most the time is jusification for the ban’s.

The way these trolls have everyone who open sorta server chat room has everyone on their toes like we are walking on eggshells no pun intended.

Its touchy because its a custom chat channel, but I’m willing to bet they did not even join/create it. I know many people are reporting them but because of this its a grey area which is why I provided a simple fix.

But this certainty is harassment when they make fun of people telling them to go to world jail and other clownish remarks of the like repeatedly which is outright harassment at this point which IS against Blizzards ToS.

I spend my time for the betterment of the game and hope this dose not fall on deaf ears. Me and several others are reporting these players daily since launch. I hope to see at least add another channel for us and make it default so players can automatically be included as they will not know how to go into the settings to access it in order to experience the fullness of this great MMORPG.

A world chat would be nice, one of the things I like about small servers is when people can chat in LFG, give the server a personality. On a mega server LFG is nauseating to look at.

Report people breaking the ToS.

Actions are reactive not proactive. Which is pretty standard given the size of this game.

If you aren’t reporting you don’t get to complain.

World Chat is a private channel and Blizzard doesn’t enforce anything there.

I’m assuming you’re talking about World chat on Nightslayer.
There’s a guy in there who’s mentally ill who runs the channel.
I was on discord with him and he said he’s Bipolar and hard fixated on policing World Chat, not even sleeping properly. Like 3-4 hours a day or something.

I’m actually a little concerned for him.

World on Nightslayer is actually pretty benign.
The guy running it kicks out people who use slurs as well as spammers and people using the wrong channel(Trade, LFG, Layer stuff).

It’s his channel, he can run it any way he wants to.

I’m not asking for a custom chat channel left to the players to moderate. I want a official channel a dedicated place for world/social chat. I want nothing to do with that.

/1 only talks to people in the same zone. but you can create/join a custom chat channel which has been the public’s work around which normally is fine but now we have only one server and we got some crazy person who wants to have what ever power they can get which is what this guy is doing.

I hate to hate but he has like nothing to do/going on I assume because he sits here policing chat all day to feel important obviously I guess. He literally is a troll and people are afraid to go against him because he has maintained leadership through just always being on all the time of this “PUBLICLY created channel” since shortly after launch.

this is a huge issue because of the layered realms we need some where to chat about kfc and c+++ without this guy adding his two cents or ban.
