A part of the reason why faction conflict has never concluded in a clean victory for one side is because a lot of players wouldn’t want to be on the losing side. That’s why there’s always truces or stalemates.
But now that the Horde is on the brink of a civil war, and blizzard has given players the option to choose their side, they’ve created yet another group that they somehow have to balance into a stalemate.
How will they solve this?

My guess is that whoever picked the losing side will get some flavor text from the winning one about how they’re on thin ice and it’ll never be referenced again.

Pfft. Here’s what they’ll do:
Despite great efforts by the Alliance and Horde, they were both secretly betrayed from the beginning. Jaina Proudmoore and Sylvanas Windrunner, Brann Bronzebeard, and two champions from both sides had been secretly manipulating events from behind the scenes at the behest of the Old God Nostril-er, N’zoth. A great tragedy occured in the Tides of Ashzara where both fleets were utterly destroyed by Naga forces. The survivors were forced to band together against this new threat, and faced it down to the bitter end. They were triumphant, and the Alliance and Horde both mutually agreed that they hated each other but war wasn’t good for business and decided to play Hearthstone instead.
The End. Oh, Jaina dies, Sylvanis dies, Brann is…whatever’d, and we just plop back into our respective towns to show off mounts until the next xpac.

They’ll ask Disney for help. That’s where they get their storytelling inspiration from.

You mean they’ll just let it go?
Sorry, I’m done now.

The narrative team for bfa are hack writers. Darkshore is evidence of that.

lol. Bwomsamdi is basically Hades from Disney’s Hercules.

Ayah. I didn’t know that night elves could go Super Saiyan. Also, how many times has Darkshore been destroyed now? I’ve lost count. Kinda like earth in Dragon Ball Z.
Hmmm…
And yes Wisskee, I totally thought the same thing.

All Disney has done lately is dust off old classics and do a subpar remake.
Maybe that’s were the idea of classic came from.

That looks like Ryuk from Death Note.

the whole point is that war never ends
look at the middle east/europe/north africa, or the Mediterranean largely speaking. the area has been in conflict since before alexander and the persians, popping up in one form or another. Rome vs Carthage, Rome vs Parthia, Byzantium Vs Ottomans, the crusades, siege of vienna, world war 1, and even current day.
the writing parallels real life in its ceaseless war.

The plot never bothered me anyway.

They were southbound traveling at 75 mph in snowy conditions. There were no survivors.

I mean I assume the horde will just rejoin as one at the end. Look at america.
We’ve had eight expansions of magically appearing worlds, islands, and antagonist. At this point the shark is jumping itself.

so maybe that could be a 9.0 surprise of pick the other faction if you want.
Since this is basically how horde got nightborne. tyrande was not nice, said she was going to watch them and be like white on rice to see if they act stupid…and thus they joined the horde.

Create a third faction.
Ppl been asking this since vanilla.
But, I know that would be too much of a radical move on Blizzard’s part; never to see the light of day.
So, meh!

It would be a lot simpler to just stop writing these forced internal conflict stories. This expansion was supposed to be focused on the Horde vs Alliance (or at least it was falsely advertised that way). We have Alliance + Horde vs Sylvanas.
