The Fait currency system is designed to implode on it’s self - Central banks create the money to loan the money at interest , This is by design to funnel the actual wealth to the top like a ponzi scheme . And to top it off every nation with a central bank has to borrow the money at interest to have currency circulating essentially making the people of that nation debt slaves as there will never be enough to repay the interest on the loans . Hence "The Great Reset "

If every nation is in debt who is the creditor ?

I wish I knew how to manipulate the AH in wow.

In other mmo, swtor for example. Simply being the crafter makes profit. Legit just buy mats and sell the product to save people time.

Swtor inflation is insane but it’s easy to break into financially.

Are crafted things affordably crafted in wow? I got to 100 in my profession and can’t make any of the cool stuff for some reason. Trainer doesn’t have anything either.

It’s hard to have sympathy for anyone that complains and buys a wow token in the same sentence.

As opposed to? Doing x3 callings on multiple characters, multiple times a week, trying to farm gold? Gaming the AH? Selling boosts?

The ways to make money in this game are hilariously few and far between. Old raids don’t give half enough gold to make it worth running them.

291 leggos arent a requirement. Buy the cheaper affordable ones. The power of the leggo is the added effect, not the raw stats.

It’s like hearing a coworker complaining about her $6 starbucks coffee when we have a coffee pot in the break room yet she continues to buy the starbucks coffee everyday.

I understand that, and while I’m not starving for gold, some people are. I don’t know what base cost is for most people but on my server, depending on slot, a 262 or 249 is still 25-100k.

If people are lined out the door paying $6 for a cup of coffee then don’t expect Starbucks to lower their prices.

It’s a convenient time for the token price to dip from 199k to 162k as well don’t you think?

Stop giving this company money if you actually want change.

Uptick in player activity generally lead to reduced token price, no? Then as the content drags on and people leave the price goes back up. Extent to which kind of depends on the amount of raw gold that’s available to people.

You would expect a slight hiccup like when 9.1 released and it dropped slowly around 10k a month into the patch. This time around however, it’s dropped nearly 40k at a much faster pace. Maybe it’s nothing but my tin foil hat tells me the timing on this was intentional to help sell more tokens.

Click on the 1yr history. All regions had an unusual drop compared to 9.1

Why would dumping the amount of gold people got for their cash increase sales? This is just people coming back and buying gold to get caught up with consumables, legendary items, crafted gear, etc.

Which is how you can twist people’s arm to buy 3 tokens like the op instead of 1 or 2 tokens. Right? I’m not understanding your point. Influx of people come back for the patch, gold sink is now higher, token is worth less.

You’re just not understanding what influences the price of the token.

I don’t think you are either…

It’s those pesky 5g towers.

I’m sure actiblizz is an honest company that wouldn’t dare manipulate their own token currency to boost profits.

you could say this about every cash shop micro from every game that has one buddy - cash shops work because a ton of players are wired mentally to easily justify it or to desire it, and the game systems are literally designed to promote it. For you to tell everyone ‘just ignore it’ is completely ignorant and naive. You should be saying change the game systems to not motivate gold shortcuts.

it is a predatory system that provides zero player value - any issue could be solved by changing the game systems or the grinds

It’s like comparing elden ring to assassin’s creed. One is designed with no cash shop focus and one is designed to motivate a massive amount of cash shop purchases.

Stop blaming players, get educated, and start requiring a better gameplay experience from bliz. Bliz is currently strip mining wow for revenue via cash shop gold.

You made a lot of false assumptions in your post. Educate yourself and read the thread and then see if you can come to the conclusion that I in anyway support blizz with gold shortcuts.

Even in the quote you listed…
