I liked Talanji. Thought she was super interesting, was glad to see a NEW character I wanted to see more OF. *

I find it hard to believe Blizz wanted us to like Nathanos though. I don’t need to be lauded as a hero, or be called champion, or be treated with kid gloves. I also don’t really want the quest giver to spit in my mouth when I do his dirty work.

*(which is why when people decry Horde writing as bad specifically because they killed Rastakhan, I don’t understand. The writing was on the wall for him, and he obviously got moved so Talanji could move to the forefront)

Nathanos was way cooler when he was chilling in EPL with the standard forsaken model. Much cooler than he is now looking like a cosplay vampire.

I personally love em’ all for different reasons lol. Nathanos in particular is just so diabolical that I can’t not enjoy him!

It’s kind of hard to take a character like Nathanos seriously when we’re running around killing gods, yet he sits on a boat doing nothing all expansion, fancying himself as some sort of authority over us.

Oh, wait, I forgot. He impressively managed to get frozen by Jaina during that fight.

Nathanos needs to take his Zandalari fleet and sail off into the distance never to be seen again.

If Sylvanas chases after him, even better.

Talanji is cool and isn’t some bloated nobody NPC.

Just my opinion though, well other than Nathanos, that dude really has gotta go.

Nathanos has never supposed to be a likable character. Even in Vanilla he treated everyone like dirt.

I liked Talanji.

Nathanos? Nah, I don’t like him.

Though, I would find it a true twist of irony, that Sylvanas goes so far off the rails that not even he can accept it, to the point he turns on her during a high point, and cuts her down.

I’m on the fence about Talanji. In many ways she just feels like a Zandalari version of Anduin which is very boring, however she does have more grit and rage to her which is good. I just don’t enjoy the “can do no wrong” vibe I get from her.

I also don’t like that Rastakhan was essentially written off because of her. I have been looking forward to meeting Rastakhan since I first started playing. Meeting him felt awesome and the fact that after 14 years he didnt even survive his debut xpac felt bad. He had so much potential. Yes he made some big mistakes but IMO it’d have been cooler to see him grow and change from those mistakes. Rarely do we actually see much character growth in wow. Most the time everyone is how they are and continue to be like that until they die. Rastakhan was in a good spot to have a sort of humbling experience for his character but died before he got the chance.

Obviously that’s not talanji’s fault as a character but from a writing/reading pov the story definitely feels like it took that direction because she was added. My opinion of her will very much depend on how she is going forward. If she’s just going to forgive and forget I won’t like her at all. If she keeps the “bring me de head of Jaina Proudmoore” vibe then I think she’ll be a interesting addition to the story.

I did appreciate how she dealt with Sylvanas. Tactful, but not afraid to pull her weight. The whole rebellion wouldve been more interesting if it had been less espionage by horde leaders and more political battling.

I only hate Talanji because Rastakan had to die and he was 10000 times better.
