40 min solo Q waits means players are logged in and ‘playing’. There is little incentive for Blizz to reduce q times as they mostly care about corporate stats like ‘engagement’ now.
Calling it now. Q times will not improve all of Dragonflight. Not because they cant fix it but because they wont.

Queue as something that isn’t meta if you want better queue times.

How can blizzard “fix” the problem that is people not wanting to play their garbage mode with other toxic garbage people?
The self awareness here lol
That theory makes zero sense.
Guess what. If people have short Queues they are online too and they have fun.
People who are only interested in PvP will cancel their subs because of long Qs.

we have to genuinely realize that blizzard employees are people. most people arent the smartest. they dont know how to fix it while keeping other things in balance (including profits).
Their metrics will go down if people stop playing because of the long queues.
So, they do have incentive.

gotta also remember that all the people that tinker with stuff dont just see a forum post and be like oh time to fix the Q times. most of em get handed their task list and they go down the list and do what they are told. its the big guys at the top that decide shiz
Proven by an afternoon reading these forums.
They are not terrible as a balance druid.
This is why I don’t play arms on my warrior despite it being demonstrably better than fury. I don’t want to spend 40 minutes in a queue. Arms easily has twice the queue times as fury does.
I thought this at one time, but then I realized the long queue times were causing me not to even bother playing the game, and spriest is not as fun in solo queues as it was. I would say I am playing less, then I have in the past three expansions.
I def think there’s something to it. Streamers for example are opening multiple accounts to queue at the same time.
You really think they put that much thought into these queue times?
Blizzard doesn’t care if you’re playing. They care if you’re subbed.
Blizzard may fix the problem by not fixing the problem. If queue times get too long and lfg isn’t an option, people might try out healer.
I for example just boosted a priest cause I think instant queues sound fun
