If blizzard made a gunner class that didn’t rely on elf styling or wannabe rexxarism, then I would switch to it probably just because it would hopefully fit my identity better.
Bard is a solid option. Tinker is as well, I suppose. Any of these are theoretically possible and can lean into a core identity.
Some of the current classes are almost archetypal. Mage, warrior, and rogue embody so much and have such great potential for different interpretations. Battlemage, then, is probably better served as a spec and hopefully with a different name.
Idk. New classes are all well and good but I think soon enough they’re going to be as impactful as new races. Which is to say not really at all. Less exciting. We need new ways to augment existing characters.
We need multiclassing.
