Last season i was able to get up to 2300 mmrish in shuffle, this was my first season playing. Since they did the soft reset mmr, i automatically went from 2300 to 1700ish in my first game. I am constantly getting games where people afk in the starting room when they get on my team or just not playing the game at all. Now i constantly just lose games for no reason and my mmr just goes down and down from not being able to play. Thanks for killing MMR again for no reason blizz
If it’s happening to you it’s happening to everyone else.
Your MMR has been on a steady decline because you’re frequently losing. Perhaps your class was nerfed, perhaps you’ve not adapted to the new Meta.
What? Im not losing because of meta comps or from nerfs. I literally just played a shuffle where the Rsham afkd jumping around in the starting room when he was on my team. Then when he wasnt on my team he decided to play lmao. Its literally happening ALOT at this mmr. This never happend when i wasnt at this mmr

Well if you got to 2300, you should be able to get to it again… everyone is probably dealing with the same issue.
Yeah, that and the fact that it’s a no post classic character has me a bit sus that there’s more to this story.

It’s a tale as old as time to say one’s team mates are why they cant climb ignoring they play just like those same team mates they just don’t notice it.

Generally speaking if you’re getting people who don’t play on your team, so will the other team and it will balance itself out over time.
Frustrating, I know, but the reason you’re not climbing would have more to do with your own skill or the fact that you’re giving up on those 20% of matches where your own gameplay would be the difference between winning and losing.
Dps coping.
So matchmaking rating is just that; matchmaking data. If I win 75% of my games to 2100, then 60% to 2400 where my winrate tapers off then I’m 2400. Going into next season and putting me down at 1500 again just means I win 80% of my games through low-mid mmr which is bad for lower rated players, so it starts me a bit higher.
Everybody gets knocked down a bit between seasons and that’s fine.
We all get hard reset on expac launch (more specifically when we level up).
Tldr working as intended, queue up

Add 20-30 minute queues to boot. I’ve had better experiences in the back half of seasons.
