For those of you who might not be aware, for some odd reason back in the beginning of the year, during the phase release, Blizzard made a quiet change to the LFG tool in classic, where the ‘Custom’ section (used by pvpers to find RBGs, arenas, etc.) is no longer cross-realm, meaning you only see groups on your realm for that section.
Folks were really confused at first, thinking it was just a bug introduced with the phase. Weeks go by, bugs being filed and posts being made, 0 response from Blizzard until finally on EU only, they get a response:
Hi everyone,
Sorry for the long wait for a reply, but we’ve had confirmation now that this is an intentional restriction rather than a bug.
I understand that’s not the answer many were hoping for, and as always please don’t hesitate to share your feedback and suggestions in the relevant parts of the forums, or through the game client directly.
In the meantime, I hope you’ll get a chance to get to know some of the regulars of your respective realms!
Mind you this feature was working for around 2 years since like, Ulduar back in WOTLK Classic. And 0 explanation on why this is now an internal restriction? What changed?
This has been almost a nail in the coffin for PvP and is going to completely ruin MoP. Cata Classic servers have issues with population/faction imbalances, so this is needly massively to find partners.
Imagine being on a dead realm on retail and only being able to do M+ with players also on your realm.
Can we get a community member to post this on our behalf at the community council forum? This is completely ridiculous. A feature we had for the previous 2 years just gone with 0 explanation. Like what???
