There is one protal to Ironforge, in Boralus… and then once you’re in Ironforge, there’s no portals to anywhere. Please add a portal to Ironforge to the SW portal room and a portal back to SW from Ironforge. While having to use the Boralus portal isn’t most inconvenient thing to get there, once you’re in IF there’s no easy way to get to anywhere else. I’d guess that is a big part of why no one goes there anymore…

This seems to be the major reason why none of even the more recent and functional cities have traffic, they only have one way entry and exit besides Valdrakken and Boralus which have SW portals and beyond.
Mostly I think people just use SW out of habit.

No one goes there anymore because other than the gifts at Winterveil, there is no reason to ever go there. Everything you need is either in Stormwind or whatever the main city of the latest xpac is.

The reason to go to Ironforge is it’s not Stormwind. What a dump.
I think TB, Exodar, SMC and IF should all have the same amenities as SW and Org.

Meanwhile the horde are stilling waiting for Suramar to become the MAIN capital. We have two faction leaders get married, that should cause a lot of events and transformation of a city. But no……still stuck in orgrimmar.
Would love to see Suramar as the main horde city. We have the night fallen and blood elves hanging out together.

Also it would help if we didn’t have to unlock so many cities, like Valdrakken where certain places are phased unless you’re full 70 and have gone through all the zones.

That would be great, and extend it to all the main faction and shared capitols. Borealas, Zandalar, The Dalarans(RiP), Shatrath, The Shrines in MoP etc. Except Oribos, no one wants to go there.
But until they do that there isn’t really a reason to go there. Beyond once a year for gifts and if like yourself, you just dislike SW that much.
Not the main city, but a proper racial capitol would be nice.

remember when someone at Blizz thought we had too many portals and took a bunch away from different maps like old Dalaran.
I believe (and hoping) the reason they haven’t done this yet is because all these cities will get a small revamp for when midnight comes out. Player housing could be available in all cities and city amenities will be the same.

This is what people are starting to get tired of.
There’s no reason we need to funnel everyone.
Put transmog, barbershop, portals, etc in every main city and let people go where they want.
I’m grateful they never removed the portals from BfA to other places. Every expansion I get nervous they’ll be gone. But that shouldn’t be a fear. We should be able to port from every city to every city and have all amenities in every city.

All of the capital cities really need a good makeover/update because apart from SW and Org there’s really no point in going to the rest. I remember way back in the day IF was popping because it was the only place with the AH, then stuff started veering towards SW. I’d be nice if they made all the cities relatively equal so people could decide where they wanted to hang out at.

Agree completely, and while I doubt it will be the case, there’s a part of me that’s hoping that this type of functionality gets added to all of the major ‘hub’ cities when housing comes in. Perfect time to add in the amenities, place them near the likely portal to player housing for each of those cities.
