Looks like it would take me about 10 wqs total to get 600 resources. I feel confident I can do that in 1/2 an hour. Ill give you the benefit that it MIGHT take 40 minutes instead. Which doesn’t change the initial point.

I have a easier solution. Given that most mains are drowning in resources at this point… Buy the BoA resource things and mail them to your alt. Voila. Takes less than a minute to have enough resources for that pesky mission.
Honestly, I do that on all my fresh 120’s, I’ll buy like 5-6 of the BoA resource caches and mail them over, gives that alt some breathing room.
On topic, the cloak quest is fine, the scenarios are what ate most of the time up. And for the last bit, use a Direbrew Remote if you have that, then run outside of Blackrock Depths and fly up to Blackrock Descent, that saves a chunk of travel time too. Completing the assaults goes by super fast too if you focus on the mini event things, those give 15-30% per. So a couple of those, a rare here or there, done.

How exactly do you skip? I’ve only done it on one alt and had to do the entire thing. Did not find a skip mechanism.

Magni will have a dialogue option after you accept the quest for the scenario.

If you have done it once you can also skip the mogu’shan palace scenario. Just talk to Ra-den and then once again to teleport to the heart chamber.

You can skip the scenarios in the halls of Origination and Mogu’shan Palace, but you still have to do each zone assault, the scenario in Blackrock Mountain, and the battle in the Heart chamber.
Depending on a player’s speed and some circumstances (for the zone assaults) it can still take awhile. Obviously some folks are faster than others.

Yeah it’s not too bad actually doing the quests, just difficulty deciding on which ones to keep at the cape cap.
I think it was MoP, we got our ordos legendary cloak from wrathion on our mains, and all our alts could benefit (as in, got ported over the broken bridge)
I’d like if they did the same. Not just give the legendaries to our alts, but we can start running the visions as long as we unlocked it already, or a main actually has the legendary equipped.
I really wish we could get a skip for that Blackwing Descent scenario near the end.
It is so boring, and has so much walking.
Literally zero challenging enemies, just walk walk walk, boom dead, walk walk walk, boom dead, walk walk walk, wait wait, walk, boom dead, wait wait wait, boom dead, walk walk walk, finally kill the last 4 things in like 2-3 hits then wait wait wait, jump, wait, click, wait, click, wait, then finally you are done with that snooze fest.
Altaholics are so lazy… I want my alt but I don’t want to do everything a new character is suppose to do. lol…
No, 40 minutes isn’t ridiculously fast. Even if this is the amount of time it takes.
15 years ago we had more time. Now we have kids, mortgages, real jobs, etc. If the story were better, maybe it wouldn’t suck so bad to repeat it. I enjoyed the myriad artifact and class hall grinds, but they felt personal to the character. The current state of things is just repetition for the sake of it.

Funny, I and other people I know have all those things and we either make time for our alts or choose to not have alts. That is the way things work if you want the rewards you do the work. We don’t need some entitlement program from alts.

Let alone the fact you want to do those anyway so why would you take an option to skip them? Doing the assaults and half the dailies or so (some take longer than others so you can ignore them if need be) combined with the daily vision you do after you get the cloak gives 2 vessels total. You also get like 3 for the whole quest line or something so asking to skip out on half your vessels seems REALLY silly.
I have 12 chars, one of each class, and this is my main DH.
I was finished with the quest on all of the chars 2 weeks ago.
They are all at cloak rank 4 at least.
It took around 3 hours per char, from starting quesat to cloak rank 4.
And they all started at ilvl 390.
It’s not long, just boring and should be skippable, but since it is not, just suck it up and do it, it’s fast enough.
Most of the time, won’t even have that much WQ on world quests available, unless I turn on Warmode, which I don’t, other than completing the faction assaults, AoO and CTA quests, since world PvP is a bad joke.
Unless you’re actively farming resources, you’re not drowning in them. Unlike Legion, resources are kinda hard to come by and I hover around 2k on my main, and every other week I gotta farm WR on every char. I really miss the passive resource generation from WoD.
Then you would do almost nothing in a vision, since the sanity drain reduction property from the very cloak is a must to get anywhere in there.
Now THIS, should be in. 0 challenge there, one-shottable enemies. It’s a joke of a a scenario and it should have been skippable too.
We just don’t want to redo 0 challenge content that is a pure waste of time to be able to play another class. If I could have all classes in one char, I would in a heartbeat. I wish Blizz would copy that from FF14, but it’s far too late for that now.
