Blizz needs to answer these 2 questions

Actually, AFTER this they said:
" " Dungeon finder is one of those features in Retail WoW, which makes finding groups to do dungeons incredibly quick and easy. However, it is often cited as something which helped erode the sense of community of players because we weren’t organically finding groups ourselves and seeing the same names over and over, which helps to build new friends and community ties. Birmingham pointed out that right from the beginning of Classic, they said if they ever get back to Wrath, they wouldn’t put dungeon finder back in.

However, there has been a lot of desire for it expressed in the community, forcing the team to reevaluate their stance."

FYI your answer to #1 is incorrect lol
Just when you thought you had it

Well, it was a stupid answer.

I recalled reading this, but couldn’t find it to post. Thanks!

But then why did they faction stack all the pvp servers if they want wpvp?

Yeah, I didn’t say everyone on pvp servers doesn’t like rdf teleportation. Just some number of the hardcore pvpers can be loudly against it. That same group is loudly against the ones who created the single faction servers too. Some of them are even loudly against flying. Wpvp seems to be the end all and be all for this subset of players.

I highly doubt even they know at this point. They’re probably going to continue feeling us out on it as we move forward through Wrath.

Its not a secure or reliable gathering of data. Just looking at how it is set up to gather data proves that to anyone that knows a thing or two about data collection and data integrity.

Those data collection methods have easily bypassed multi vote protection and had 0 anti bot protection. Thats 2 red flags for if the data is secure and reliable. Another red flag is recognition of a disparity in motivation people have to vote on it causing a lean toward pro rdf because the human nature beliefs of “voting makes my voice heard” for those unhappy with the situation vs those already happy with the situation not feeling a need to voice their opinion with voting on the situation.

So thats 3 red flags so far for if the data is secure and reliable.

Next red flag is visibility of the polls. Many wow players don’t go to warcraft logs, redit, exc. Looking for a poll on rdf and dont see it. I wasnt even aware of the polls until it was brought up on these forums and even these forums have a very small percentage of the playerbase on them.

So thats 4 red flags.

I would support blizzard doing an offical poll on the matter, but please stop acting like thes open vote straw polls are a good source of reliable and secure data…

They already have answers that like twice. How would a third time make it more valid to you?

We still need an answer to question number 2

That link is 3 months old, things change. “No plans” is not a definite “no”.

However, if they update both these questions…it would save me 30/month and i can go on PS.

it’s been said that it’s up to us which you can assume it means yes.

I think we may have found an answer to question #2

Of course. They will eventually release it when wrath classic is so dead that they need to bump up the numbers. By then all the people who cared will have already quit so whats the difference right?

To Blizz, each past xpack is just a chance to win old subs back. Look at how releasing wrath worked in getting them the subs of so many people who said they were done with WoW. Me being one of them.

Now that I actually sat back and thought about it I realized that I’m probably one of the only players on earth who would actually be content with just playing wrath and only wrath for the next 20 years with no changes or new content. I’ll just say I’m a “unique” kind of gamer. Most gamers want new. I want same.

“We do not have plans” is not the nail in a coffin that you want it to be. It’s very careful speech that leaves open the possibility that they will change their plans in the future. It’s not language that will shut down dissent; in fact, it invites it. They may very well have made that final, irrevocable decision, but they are very deliberately NOT saying that.

Regarding after WotLK, I’m not sure how the answer to this question impacts playing Wrath. It’s more about will you play AFTER Wrath. Perma-wrath server isn’t worthwhile – nothing but a permanent content drought. I don’t see them investing in creating new content for a Wrath-plus, but that would only be after Wrath has run its course anyway. What other options are left? For either restarting Classic from Vanilla or Wrath fresh servers means your Wrath characters are a dead end.
While it would be nice to know what’s coming next, Wrath is a dead end unless they do Cata. Play Wrath if you enjoy it. If not, don’t. If you’re only playing Wrath as a Cata waiting room, don’t. Just wait for the level 80 boost.

"To be completely honest, [the Looking For Group tool] is a feature I wanted in the game when we launched the game. I was really unhappy when we didn’t have it when we first shipped, so it’s been 5 years coming. Maybe it wasn’t the number one thing I wanted in, but it’s definitely one of the top 5 things that I wanted in the game. It’s actually our third try at a proper LFG tool, and this one gets it right. With the Meeting Stones, we didn’t put enough attention into it, we just tried to jam it in, and people didn’t use it. The second tool, it ended up being compromised feature – we tried to cater to too many different audiences.

As for the community question, I used to … I think that 5 years ago, I would have answered this question differently than I would today. I was all about preserving the small realm communities, but already… Well, look at Battlegrounds, it’s a good case in point, because it doesn’t diminish social relationships that matter on a realm. Sure, everyone can bring up “that one guy” that they know, the ninja looter who stole his stuff. But I think your real community isn’t the whole realm, but it’s your guild and the friends you group with, and the cross-server LFG won’t undermine that at all. The Dungeon Finder – by the way, I think we just renamed it the Dungeon Finder last night – We designed it in such a way that it serves the need for guilds and groups and friends. You don’t have to always [join a Pick-Up Group]. If there are four guildies in a group who just need a fifth, they can do that. You can also use it if even you have a full five-person party.

Or, you can do it if you’re on your own and just want to run something, so I don’t think it diminishes it at all"

well…i can tell you 2 things i witnessed from the past.
1- when raid tier last for too long people slack/quit or search for other games, this happened in original wotlk during icc when it lasted for 1year and tons of people did quit because they was done with everything, same happened in cata during DS tier when it lasted for almost 1year and everyone was tierd from repeating same thing.
2-wow main focus is to attracted the total new players and this is why we have the system of semi reset every couple of months called patch to replace gear or the total reset for everything which is called expansion, some people aren’t aware but during original tbc there was hundreds of thousands who drooped but the numbers was increasing because more was joining, same happened during original wotlk, the game probably was played by +20million player but it never reached more than 12m because the constant quitters vs the constant newcomers rate, and this is why most current wow players now joined at some point in past few years, very rare to see someone since the beginning in here

i never played on Private server but i can tell that there was always p.s for certain wow expansion because some people wanted to forever play what they’re used on playing and what they like, But on the other side! some people just play wow for playing wow itself they don’t care about the content and gameplay and this is why even fail expansion like wod/bfa/sl was played by millions.

note that wow base subs hugely decreed between 2011~2014 but the amount of money they earned got doubled or even trippled due micro-transaction so cata release which means Deluxe edition/mounts/pet and maybe more is a golden method for more money milking

we had an answer to #1 all along, it’s just nobody wanted to hear it. As for the 2nd question, I think the jury is still out on that one as they collect feedback not only on if they want a constant Wrath server, but if they are interested in Cata. Honestly what would be amazing is if each expansion got a forever server, even is some were full time maintenance mode. I’d love to play MOP and Legion again, and they’d have plenty of time to finish what they started with WOD. I’d be 100% on board if they said classic WOD was comin out and it will be the full thing, not just 3 raids and a garrison. Like up until Wrath, plenty would have freaked out if they changed the content, but there’s a whole world of possibility goin forward. I say give us Cata, but leave a chromie time version for people that want do do the old instances, such as Zul Gurub for the mounts n stuff.
