Simple as that. It shouldn’t matter how the character died but if they were killed when the outages rolled in then all characters must be restored. I didn’t lose mine though but I wasn’t logged into HC, I was in Classic Wrath but still, not looking forward to the PoS repair bill.

I slick hope they do roll back and restore everyone who died. Best of luck! As soon as I noticed input lag I removed my character from harm ASAP!
I can assure you they will not rollback, as Auna said. There was an outage months ago and nothing was done then. Why would it change now?
It is unfortunate, and I would be upset with the loss too, but it’s a feature you agreed to.

Dont think they will restore. The best thing you can hope for is a 1- 5 minute rollback

Because it’s HC., I don’t think they will. It’s meant to give the feeling that everything can be life or death. Even things out of your control. And in real life, you can do everything right, make every right decision, and still get killed by something completely out of your control. I know it sucks, but I think for this reason they will do nothing. That does not mean I agree with that.

Terms are clear. They won’t and shouldn’t restore. If they do, then they should restore every and any dc deaths, or bug deaths.

Let’s say the laws of physics broke IRL and you suddenly fell through the ground and ended up burning in the Earth’s core, would it be possible to restore you after that unfair death?
Sure, that example is absolutely preposterous, but that is the spirit of Hardcore modes in games, every death is permanent no matter how unfair it is. It’s exactly what you sign up for when you make a HC character. Restoring even one character would cheapen the entire thing.

I died. 19 druid. Rip. Was taking it slow, leveling all professions. Took a dwarf escourt quest that spawns adds occasionally. Killed with 0.1ish seconds to cast the heal. I wont blame lag. I got greedy. Was half a bar from 20 as well lol
