Shadows End: Blizzard really missed good story and development opportunity here.
Imagine. The Jailor actually beats us and destroys the universe. World of Warcraft ends.
WoW2: Before the Jailor erases everything outside the universe the Void Lords reach in and grab hereos of Azeroth and other races from other planets around the universe. Wow 2 Shadows begin: We can port our char over and start at lvl 1. We are on the Void Lords side, and we are now invading a universe unknown to us. We start on the planet ends wake near the edge of the universe, and we spend the game going from planet to planet gaining power in the Jailors new universe till we meet him 15 real years later fighting new enemies and new races. how did they miss this…

WoW has got to end. How can you have a villian winning at the end of the game the worst story. Villians rarely win, and starting wow 2 and having to start on the opposite side of the spectrum can’t be the worst story ever. It would be playing the other half of wow we will probably never see.
Give it a day or few, I’m sure something even worse will come along around here.

What happens to priests and paladins and stuff?
Being on the Void Lords side doesn’t mean we are all void. We are on the Naarus side atm and we aren’t all light. Its Light Vs Void.
Nothing gets players more excited than major changes starting with wiping out almost two decades of progression.

Actually, villains winning been gaining popularity in movies, solos, RPG,s and books. It’s new, it’s different, and mostly makes sense. The possibility of good winning all the time is too high to type. Thus, people are looking for something differnt for a change.

Everything ends. Wiping out 2 decades of progression. That’s only because this is the only game they can progress on. All console games end, and eventually an MMO needs to end and start over. WIth progression comes alot of catching up and feeling left out for newer players to get involved.
I agree that villians winning is picking up steam. Bringing it to MMOs is even better. I don’t mean the small wins like the jailor getting his sigil back. I mean big wins.
