I saw the Blizz message about mins ago about account . they told me that message are fake as same as spam. is that true?
Fake. Blizz isn’t going to message you in-game except in two circumstances:
A) You submit a ticket and they contact you to respond to it.
B) They are about to suspend or silence you.
If it’s ever B, it’s not going to be a threat – they’ll just be telling you what’s about to happen.

Was it in blue with a blizzard logo? If not, then it isn’t true.
If it was an email, it probably isn’t true.

No, if a GM messages you it will have a blue “Blizz” icon next to their name.

Always thought it was blue but then I often think some greens are blue as well. Different perception I guess.

oh ok that message got me so confuse me about account .
Unless it’s big blue lettering that looks fancy, it ain’t blizzard.
If it’s just some normal whisper, it’s fake, and they want you to give account info on a fake site to steal the account.

If you get fake messages in game right click and report for SPAM. Fun fact, you can’t report an actual Blizzard staff member so you can’t ever make a mistake!

this is completely untrue , back in WotlK some buddies and I discovered an exploit where you can put level 80 enchants on BoE items for level 19 twinks and what not. After about 2 weeks of dominating Warsong gultch on our level 19 twinks , a blizz employee sends me a whisper saying something like “How did you get that enchant on those legs?” or something along those lines, I knew he was a GM because he had the white/blue “Blizzard” logo to the left of his name
So, on this – that means someone reported you for cheating. Instead of just deleting the items and suspending you for taking advantage of an exploit, it sounds like they tried to find out how to replicate the exploit so it could be fixed.
That’s pretty lucky, honestly.

I received two of those messages today. Havnt seen one in years until today.
I just report them quickly before they log off that spamming character.
I am going to change my passwords . feel save for me.
