If Illidan can come back from the dead, so can Hogger leading Gnolls.
In all seriousness I’d roll a gnoll. To me they’re pretty cool.
Alliance: Gnolls
Horde: Quilboars
Let’s goooooooooo
I would too, Hogger proves even a Gnoll can look cool and they are sentient enough to understand languages and wear armor.
You heard the Orc, Blizz.
How dare you? I thought we settled on murlocs, we all know murlocs are superior to gnolls in lore.
Murlocs will be the next neutral race ala Pandaren.
Never! We have worked for many expansions on improving alliance-murloc relations, you can’t have them!
Oh, it’s happening, Murlocs are joining the horde.
Over my dead body elf, you can have the quillboars!
It would be interesting to see how many different spellings of the name Hogger people would use. Like DH’s and the never ending number of Illidan variations.
Yeah, those losers need to knock it off and stop copying me.
Forest was just a set back. Gnolls are ugly and have their own models iirc. Same with Hozen. Remember Blizzards budget goes to Activision so keep it simple like
worgen-saberon.
I LOVE Gnolls!
If I remember correctly… when you do the horde quest to break out Talanji and Zul from the Stormwind Stockades you can spot a Hogger costume off to the side. So that leads me to believe Hogger was never really defeated in the Stockades dungeon.
He’s out there … plotting his revenge!
Well as you know…
Forest only set back.
Gnolls are an underutilized race in fantasy as it is.
Blizzard should capitalize on this fact by giving people what they want and making them playable. And honestly if you look at the history of gnolls in wow, they once were as much of a threat to the alliance races as the horde.
In most fansty settings they are underutilized in spite of the fact that they are literally better orcs.
As big as orcs as strong as orcs more menacing than orcs, and on top of that they are more tactical in the way they operate and attack than orcs. Using stealth ambush tactics and numbers to overwhelm. I believe they should be playable just on those facts alone. Without the need to mention that people want them.
I have a real soft spot for the Mudsnout Gnoll Tribe in Hillsbrad. They were just minding their own business growing their unique Mudsnout Blossom mushrooms and then they got attacked by demons during the legion expansion! But looks like they did come back and are operating at normal capacity again. I WANNA PLAY AS A BLUE GNOLL AND BE A MUDSNOUT.
I have a better idea. Why dont the races we pushed around killing from quests come together and form there own faction.
Faction-Wilderlings
︎Gnoll
︎Murloc
︎trogg
︎kabold
Story-begin the story as any of the following races on the battlefield of the past. The battle for goldshire with hogger leading the charge. You lose the battle due to outdated technology, the gnomish tinkers mess u up and you get captured. In the sw stocades you will complete a scenario and escape in a tunnel after hogger stay behind to fight them off and die in a cutscene to mithias shaw(yes this guy has a face you will never forget).
After that event you will continue through the tunnels with a leader from each of the faction and hoggers son. In the tunnel you will encounter a homeless leper gnome. He will help you out and eventually become the new leader of the leper gnome who will join you and you will now have leper gnome playable.
Then you unlock a new zone on an island off the coast to the south where a giant gorilla use to be. This will be a combined capital for 5 factions. You should also be level 10 at this point. You then will be given a set of quests that will make it look like you were there when certain events happened.
Completing quests, in northrend will eventually lead to you seeing 2 ships fighting above icecrown and one crashing.
Completing quests in the burning crusade will eventually show you maiev escape and capture illadin.
Completing quests in cataclysm content will eventually show deathwingbcrash towards the maelstrom.
Completing quests in mist of pandaria will bring you back to a gathering with the qulboars that will show some crazy event happening at orgrimar which you will assume is a marriage.
Completing quests in warlords of draneor will get you mad because you will finally make peace with the saberon and the arrakoa outsiders just to have archimond fall and crush a building near by.
Completing quests in the broken isles and argus will cause you to go to silithus to help some allies only to have a giant sword almost kill you.
Completing quests in bfa however will take you to the island of tel’abim where you will have nothing bad happen to you until a banshee flies in the sky one day that catches your attention. You follow it to northrebd where u see her beat the lich king and he gives you access to deathknights after helping him.
Yes you have been through danger at every turn. This is where you are all caught up.
If we do this can we please not have them have the Hunchback like so many other races do in this game for some reason.
