Soooo how about retail???
Retail has boosting?
Ahh so they do recognize boosting as a problem. Too bad they have double standards when it comes to retail .
I suppose that’s how it goes when the entire game mode is “insert coin to continue”.
There is no way for them to fight against boosting in retail. The boosting that this addresses in TBC is for leveling. The boosting that happens in retail for raiding and Mythic +. It’s a totally different environment.
Exactly what I was going to say. The fixes they are implementing would have no effect on retail “boosting”.
Retail solved the problem with LFD, catchup mechanics, and a pitiful leveling experience that would only be slowed down by the time spent paying for it.
Went into stratholme on my pally all by myself not boosting anyone and now I can’t farm for gold. I have never sold or bought gold and changing specs is expensive. Punishing people that haven’t done anything wrong is a good way to lose players. GDKP is where the real gold selling happens GG blizz. I predict this will increase botting alot more can’t wait to see all the complainers lol
Let me ask you guys this. You make millions and millions of gold from being a boosting service and realize you can also sell said gold in private discord channels, why wouldn’t you?
I was excited for classic and then I realized EVERYONE was boosting or boosted to max level. I played for about a week and uninstalled it, WOTLK would have been fun but I know it wont be any different.
How can Blizzard complain about boosting when they provide paid boosts? It would be a bit hypocritical if they removed boosting.
They call this “anti-boosting”, when it’s anti-solo farming at level.
It’s about time, jeez. Wish they’d implemented these measures at TBCC release, hope they’re in place from the start of WotLKC release.
Good. Boosting is cancer.
Lol going to warlock or another class now
The Boosting Problem in Shadowlands took off because of legendary crafting costs and the gear pacing becomming stingy from past expansions.
So to solve the boosting, just make more gear drop, I guess.
If boosting had the same form in retail they could combat it the same way. Unfortunately, there’s no way for them to really prevent M+/raid boosting using mechanics.
In before Character Boosts being sold in Classic servers. Blizzard proves they take the real money transactions away from players only to profit from them themselves.
At its core, boosting is about time-saving and efficiency. Today’s gamer cares about such things. Gamers from decades past perhaps cared more about the experience.
Given this change in mindset, it’s unlikely that WoW will alienate their current player base by completely dismantling boosting.
Besides, why would anyone want to remove boosting? Blizzard is introducing a Services channel so you won’t even have to see spam anymore.
Lock the mythic raid behind item level. Put limits on PVP progression per week. Make it so only people of similar rank can queue for ranked.
