It’s actually not.
They’ll just move you somewhere else, not shut it down.
That was my point.
Considering I live right next to Anaheim right now and am aware of numerous lawsuits the police department in Anaheim is facing.
I don’t decide their reasoning is right or wrong, true.
But I can comment on whether they are genuine or not.
OK. I’m convinced that you’re trolling. Or doing some kind of weird Kaufman-esque performance piece.
No one of sound mind, or in any attempt to be taken seriously, could string those words together in an actual attempt at legitimate communication.
I don’t buy it.
I am expecting and personally hoping that the community comes through and does the right thing by sending blizzard a very strong message at blizzcon that we have no time or patience for China’s influence in our gaming & community, I want to see loads of #FREEHONGKONG tee shirts and banners in the crowds, I want to hear plenty of questions about censorship asked at the Q&A’s, I hope that there’s so much of it that blizzard can’t possibly broadcast any of the event in China in any form.
Blizzard always threw diablo under the bus for China, how happy are you going to be when all your favorite blizzard franchises are designed around what will make China happy and everything else takes a back seat?
It’s hearthstone, Itz blizzards property, they can enact whatever rules they want.
Yes it is, just because its not one here doesn’t make it not one in the rest of the world. LGBTQs are frowned upon in Russia, China, Iran etc etc. Its absolutely political.
The Americans because they did not speak but instead held a sign is no less a statement than blitzs. they hijacked a stream and displayed their message.
I disagree, i think that every bit of pressure we can put on each and every company has a long game to it.
“I spent money on this so I don’t care what they do wrong”
The marches and the inconvenience isn’t what changed things.
It was the brutality of the police that sparked a national outcry.
You can actually watch the documentaries on the marches and peaceful protests. Nothing started changing until people started showing up in hospitals and started dying.
You cannot isolate that tiny bit from the rest of the protests and marches, they are all one.
The claim that they would move you somewhere else has nothing to do with how unconstitutional shutting down a peaceful protest in a public space would be.
Also, LGBT rights, is not a political issue.
It is exactly as political as the HK riots. They both have to do with human rights. One just negatively affects Blizzard’s bottom line when it’s brought up.
Willful ignorance… Oh how I loathe thee.
People seem to think because we have largely conquered LGBTQ rights in the west that in places like China or Russia its not an issue.
The Americans because they did not speak but instead held a sign is no less a statement than blitzs. they hijacked a stream and displayed their message.
They didn’t hijack anything though lol
The camera panned to them, the losing team, saw sign, panned away.
That was literally it.
I disagree, i think that every bit of pressure we can put on each and every company has a long game to it.
Too bad history disagrees with you.
I really wish protests like this actually made a difference, but the world is too interconnected for that to really inconvenience corporations at all. Especially when they are backed by lobbyists who will make sure the companies stays on top.
Want to make an actual change.
Vote out politicians. Get politically involved. Study the people you vote for instead of doing the normal popularity contest voting that exists in America now.
LGBTQ+ rights are not a political issue?
Are you really that dense, or maybe just that young.
Why not both?
They didn’t hijack anything though lol

The fact they lost makes no difference. yes they did, after blitzchung said his piece they also turned away.

This goes without saying and its your assumption because of your jaded and cynicism that noone here does that. You have literally nothing to base it on, you know nothing about anyone here. Just your tiny sphere of friends.
LGBTQ+ rights are not political issues, they are human rights issues.
Human rights are not political issues, they are social issues as we are part of a global society.
You do understand that right?
I mean look to Twitter and see how angry members of the LGBT community was when someone claimed that Blizzard was being political by showing pride support.
History is not on your side here buddy.
People try and make LGBT issues political, but they aren’t.
So what, you’re the new forum monitor? Everyone has to justify their actions by you or you troll their thread?
Iknow you don’t like to think about this, but you literally have no power over anyone here.
