So riddle me this Batman, why post here at all? Why not use platforms like Twitter, Facebook Reddit etc., that would bring light to the issue to many more than the few of us who actually use the forums? The player base majority ignores them. Those who play already know for the most part about the issue. So why use the forums? You aren’t getting a bigger audience by any means, this is not a news site.
I just lol’d irl. Not getting work done, not getting things in game done. Hell this entertainment is great and free lol!!

Add to that the Apple users that are justifying their favorite company literally removing an app that was directly aiding Hong Kong protestors.
A lot of the raging masses here are only invested because an easy, non-costly way to “protest” came up. Won’t see them posting a video online of them smashing their fancy, Chinese manufactured iPhones.

Hope you’re not directing that at me. I was only commenting on why these posts weren’t showing up here specifically before now. I’m not defending a position I never took, or arguing against a position I don’t strictly disagree with.

I find it very sad that some people here have so much hate in their hearts… and it will take its toll on them. Hatred is hard both on body and mind. Try replacing hate with compassion and forgiveness… wow ok I will stop now before I get too sappy.

You did actually read my first post right? I support nothing. Never said I did.
I just posted that I didn’t want people being rash and deleting accounts and gave friendly advice on how to get the attention and show support.
And corporations can have huge impacts on political views. Do you know what google and facebook are? They can be used to manipulate political views and are run by corporations.
You paid to enjoy yourself. Why not try that instead of boycotting. You might just have a really good time, worth the price of the weekend. It would be a real shame to chance getting tossed out and losing your access to Blizzcon.
Maybe you should try the adult thing and go and enjoy the convention.

Blizzard’s platform isn’t as far reaching as any of the social media sites you listed. If you want change, I encourage you to make posts on those. Get a hashtag to trend. Protesting Blizzard will do nothing to change their ideology, no matter how much you wish that it will.
Rosa Parks didn’t violate a contract. What she did was heroic. Again, Blitzchung AGREED TO A CONTRACT then violated that contract in a pre-meditated manner.
Next I love you completely disregard the rest of what I said, where had blizzard done little to nothing about this it very easily could have endangered their Chinese employees who would be without jobs and possibly even have their families threatened.

I wanted to say a few more words before I go out to stock up on some treats…
I know I have criticized the Moral West for its crimes, particularly in the Middle East, but I also accept that we don’t know how privileged we are, the way that we can take to social media and just speak out against things we disagree with, without fear of any consequence.
But what’s really sad is when Democrats and socialist left in general criticize China for cracking down on Hong Kong protesters, well look at what the Democrats have done, they treat conservatives as evil monsters. I used to be Leftist but then they morphed into something ugly, that if you don’t fully accept their doctrine to every last crossed t and dotted i, you will be punished, treated as second class citizen, will try and disadvantage them in society, and look I am not saying I think Trump is God, but if it’s a choice between that sexist clown and the Marxist Democrat that say if you are not for them, you are ‘evil’ you must be suppressed/condemned, then I’d stick with the sexist clown and deal with Iran and Israel later. See the reality is, that what Democrats are criticizing China for doing is exactly what they do-agree with us, or else.
I used to buy the line that what Stalin did was not REAL socialism/communism, but given how the Left has been behaving in the Western countries the past few years, I am terrified of them if they get any real power, they will turn America into a communist Chinese country.
Obviously capitalism isn’t perfect…it’s sad when people get left behind, end up homeless and whatnot, and obviously we need to address that gap, but that doesn’t mean we need to go full on socialist. What’s really sad though, is that I feel partly responsible for how the world is, as when the left-wing parties first started to go full retard I didn’t say anything, thinking that they were justified as I felt at the time the ends justified the means, as I thought the end game was a fair, utopian society for all, but I realize now, that such a thing is not possible…human nature won’t allow that to happen.

Watch how they are treated differently.
