I’d suggest he start a foster home and take care of some orphans and abused kids, but he might mess up the kids. Pouring soup at a soup kitchen might be alright though. Ha…
Ni Hao. This comment was censored by China. Go back to farming AP. China number one.
You’re not truly boycotting Blizzard until you boycott the forums also. If you are still here, you are still connected to them.
Don’t be too hard on them, they’re just trying to increase their social credit rating.
If he deletes his account, he won’t be able to post here right?
And really protesting Blizzard isn’t direct either. He should go out to Beijing and wave a free Hong Kong and quit picking on Taiwan sign. Heck even just a sign with Winnie the Pooh on it would get their attention.
So protesting what Blizzard did does what to change the situation in that country? Nothing. There are so many better ways to try to help, yet some of you think that Blizzard had a choice.
Look at this excellent post from Grumbles for instance:
However, you want people to buy a blizzcon pass to protest that will do absolutely nothing to alleviate the situation whatsoever. Nor will picketing their offices. They have rules to follow in every country they operate in. While I do not agree with the situation over there personally, I think it would be idiotic for them to cut ties with said country, especially for those living there who use this game as an escape.
Thank you for your judgement OP.
Do remember to not look up from your self proclaimed pedestal when it starts to rain…would hate for you to drown.
Ok, here’s what you do. Go to Beijing and say this to the president when you see him. It will solve everything:
Boycott… I may resub my 2nd account.
Same way you did before Sunday.
No this doesn’t matter at all.
It gets attention. And getting the attention and publicity is one step in making change. After that it is up to the offender themselves to make a change or the offended to force change. I don’t usually approve of force, but hey it’s their freedom. Do what you need to do to keep it.
He still doesnt care. This is all about hating Blizzard and nothing else.
Would it be wrong to boycott, but also collect the goodie bag from Blizzcon? Just asking for a friend.
No, no it doesn’t
It might surprise you that OP, much like a lot people, might have actually cared before this. They just didn’t post about it on these specific forums because there was absolutely no reason to.
So many idiots… so few flags.
I cycle through 12 characters a day. It has become a second job.
You are pushing the wrong kind of attention. Blizzard is a corporation that has no control over political views whatsoever.
I don’t usually approve of force, but hey it’s their freedom. Do what you need to do to keep it.
Right there is your problem, you don’t live there. You don;t know the political climate based on any of your posts. This is not a new thing there, yet have you once posted your outrage about this before? Nah, took a glance at your posts, nothing there.
Railing on Blizzard would do nothing, and if they chose to take a stance like I stated before, they would ban this game in its entirety there. Leaving those players who come here for an escape with no options.
For the last few days I’ve been sitting back laughing at all the outrage. China has been abusing human rights since before most of the outragers were born, but all of a sudden it’s pretty damn important to them lol!!
