Is this real life?

I am 99% certain someone is really triggered at this point. This escalated quickly.

And I’ll take that over kidnapping dissidents to put them in labor camps or harvest their organs for aging CCP figureheads.

Right, but it was at Hong Kong’s discretion to enforce… and if you don’t trust your own government, then you’re not protesting China’s rule. You’re protesting your own government’s, which is a wholly separate matter.

I’m not making this stuff up. Those concerns were addressed, discussed, and publicly available a very long time ago. This would not be new information if our media was not so one-sided. It certainly isn’t new in other places.

Additionally, even if it was completely at mainland China’s request with no approval step, it’s still an absolutely necessary measure and, again, no country would allow that loophole to exist.

Yes, there are problems, but this is a bigger one. Murder should not be legal and I really shouldn’t have to make that clear.

I had hoped the outrage would make things get better, not worse. I had hoped that the posts on the forums would give Blizzard pause.

And then I read this: " A coach in Blizzard’s Overwatch League was told to delete a tweet condemning the company for censoring an esports competitor from Hong Kong" (I would link the actual story, but the forums won’t let me… lol)

It’s not getting better, it’s staying the same. It’s not changing.

So F these guys. I cancelled my WoW sub. Last day in the game is November 18. I don’t enjoy having to do this, but this is not a company I want to do business with.

Exactly we all support it

Lmfao.

This just keeps getting better.

If they acted correctly, we wouldn’t have this thread, a massive boycott, and Blizzard’s leaders being revealed as a bunch of gutless sycophants for a dictatorship.

Any AMERICAN company who would trade freedom and liberty for 30 pieces of silver from a foreign country/government deserve all the hate they get. Not only from the American populace but from all liberty loving people everywhere.

x2 The rules were broken and it was a good punishment

You definitely need to not be here anymore.

Why isn’t there a backlash against Apple for taking down an app that was helping Hong Kong protesters? Just curious.

All must bow to the glorious masters of China! Winnie the Pooh totally doesn’t look like Xi Jinping!

It was at mainland’s request.

It was not an unreasonable request.

It allowed people to evade police. Given how some have been “protesting,” it was absolutely a danger to public safety.

yes! We’re just asking for freedom of expression

Someone does not know how to read the rules

Here is my two cents…
I don’t care about any of this drama

Cry me a river, cupcake. No one in this country is “oppressed” by the government in the way you think they are. Deal with it.

really yes … but it’s more fun to fight (?)

Just ignore Kelisaria, they sound like a Boomer FB meme page
