Blizz, Hong Kong, Freedom of speech, lets have an Adult discussion

It’s like Blizzard is begging people to pirate their games at this point

It’s only been posted, oh I don’t know, 15-20 times by me alone…without the numerous other people who have provided the proof that it wasn’t a Blizzard or Blizzard-controlled post. But people don’t want facts, they want to be fully on the outrage bandwagon regardless of the truth.

I wish they would.
People need to learn that actions have consequences.

Almost half the residential real estate in Irvine is owned by the Chinese.

Maybe Blizzard already feels like they’re in China.

One of the champs who participates in their Hearthstone tourneys has just bowed out indefinitely.

There’s an old communist saying: capitalists will sell us the rope with which to hang them.

Some NBA clown made a statement that China censors, so companies helping them exporting censorship to free countries was natural and expected. The clownier interviewer praised him as wise.

Well said.

We should never have taught China to fish.

It’s understood. People know companies need to make money, that’s their whole purpose.

People also know that companies have choices in where and with whom they do business.

Blizzard aka Tencent made their decision. We are now making ours.

Nothing you or some of the others who argue on behalf of Blizz/10cent will change that.

They showed us who they are. We don’t accept that. That’s how it is.

I spit on your caution, and I spit on your cowardice.

Hey guys china is being bad, let’s drop our pants and bend over.

Free Hong Kong! Free Tibet!

They aren’t Tencent, and they excluded a player who violated a contract to save their business interests and employees the trouble.

Sometimes adults have to make the least worst choice. This twitter and social media outrage will end like all others. Nothing happening.

I don’t know why you expect corporations to suddenly change the status quo on a whim to fit the guttering flame that is public opinion.

This was definitely not ,“the least worst choice”.

People are legit going out of their way to harass people, just like Vegans go out of their way to attempt to emotionally attack people around them, because they feel morally superior for whatever reason they’ve convinced themselves that they are morally superior to others.

How? When?

Unfortunately no. The price of doing business internationally, like Blizzard does, is that you find yourself involved in international cultures, including their politics.
