Blizz, Hong Kong, Freedom of speech, lets have an Adult discussion

It might not be “their” company but it is their brand. So now blizzard has to make a statement about Netease being incompetent (prolly use more diplomatic language) but yeah.

They are. Notice the social credit rewards on these forums?

No, I don’t notice it. I usually get temp bans on a regular basis. So I don’t bother with it. My social credit score took a nosedive so why bother.

Even with the facts about the account owner, people will still believe what they want so they can justify their hatred.

Yes, Blizzard should be releasing a statement saying that the Netease statement does not represent the opinions or position of Blizzard/Activision, which has a policy of not making political statements. And somehow wordsmith it to not be offensive. Which is ironic considering that Blitzchung was punished for making a political statement.

This is all the more reason that Activision Blizzard needs to get in front of this and say something, instead of letting this completely spiral out of control.

honestly im baffled how a stream like that in a political environment like that how that stream didn’t have a big enough delay in place to prevent this very occurrence. these arnt dumb people you dont make billions being dumb

I agree, but the wordsmithing on it to accomplish a) clarifying it was Netease and not Blizzard who made that statement, b) that Blizzard/Activision has a firm policy on not making political statements, and that c) the actions taken against Blitzchung fully support their non-political stance is going to have to be epic.

I can imagine a lot of sweaty suits in a boardroom pacing back and forth all saying “yeah! we’ll just ignore it. yeah!”

Edit: lol. and then one says “wait! how about we send out the umbrellas.”

So far, I’d say they’re not.

All the more reason I hope Blizzcon is filled with some angry protesting.

Sending out the umbrellas is going to become a meme.

Picture of Blizzard’s Umbrella People; Well since we’re all ready appeasing a totalitarian regime might as well send out the umbrellas and appease the SJWs.

Edit: lol. these jokes write themselves. Picture Hitler in Hell…If only I had multi-colored umbrellas.

Taiwan #1!

A sorry isn’t going to suffice it lmao.

ho my god XD

I have this weird fetish right now that if Blizzard did recreate that video with J.Allen Brack a, Ion, Jeff Kaplan and Tom Chilton I would probably excuse them. I don’t know if mimicking south park tho would pass in China. xd

This will end well.
