Blizz, Hong Kong, Freedom of speech, lets have an Adult discussion

You stated it yourself, right here:

While that’s true, it’s only true if they’re actually being harassed.

Being presented with facts respectfully is not the same as harassment.

It’s the same as omnivores claiming vegans are harassing them by presenting them with facts.

Your emotional response is your responsibility, facts are facts and information doesn’t harass anyone.

China changed the last sentence to pride in our country from what I just read

Financially speaking, I’d bet that’s the smarter move for them. The Chinese audience is a much more unified one and tend to react to things more seriously. The Western audience is pretty vocal about being upset with Blizz right now but, historically speaking, such outrage tends to be short lived and relatively insignificant.

Just for context, this was actually posted before this whole situation blew up. It’s not as recent as you might think.

Let the discussion continue.

Good thing it was short lived for the NBA as well.

I don’t think Blizz is scared of the Chinese gamers themselves.

Yea the NBA is kicking those out who have HK protest things. They are trying to get back in China’s good graces.

Tool of the Chinaman… Tool of the Chinaman…

God, that’s pathetic. No American who is truly patriotic would accept this vile censorship and worship of a tyrannical state. Cowards and fools, the lot of them.

Many fail to appreciate the real threats of living in a communist country.

Westerners right now are screaming free speech, but many don’t understand that by the comments made, BLIZZARD employees and their families were put at serious risk from the government.

These kind of comments are not tolerated by the government. You better believe that BLIZZARD and its employees are currently under investigation for crimes related to treason. It is not uncommon for these types of searches to result in family members vanishing overnight.

These armchair philanthropists, with their White Savior Complex, end up doing more harm than good.
