Why would blizzard be blocking attempts to delete accounts if that were true?

I said “some”, not “a significant number”. You can read the quote above for proof. Don’t warp other peoples’ comments to strengthen your own weak arguments.

You are.

This is a forum intended for discussion of a videogame, not one intended for right wing trolls to overrun and destroy.

I would expect people in Hong Kong to be very concerned. You, not so much. The non-political types that latch onto vandalistic trolling as a form of “free speech” are not exactly showing concern about anything except wreaking havoc on forums.

Not only did he not say that, you also never quoted it correctly to make this response.

He is saying that there are people who are not so addicted that they would not leave as some sort of evidence that there could be a big boycott in progress world-wide.

I’m not feeling your sincerity. Did you have to go off-script for this?

You have a computer and an internet connection, food and presumably a home. That’s not poor by anything but our warped modern standards. That’s how high our standard of living is, that you can have all that stuff and by our standards that’s poor.

Did any of those companys ban or punish someone over wanting freedom and independence?

That is seriously not what he said lol. Are you having trouble?

“Right wing trolls” LMAO.

lmao what.

Mate I think you’re a little delusional.

I came here to rally support for Hong Kong and kick down idiots who think their ViDyA gAeMs are more important than their morals.

Here’s a link to donate to Hong Kong humanitarian efforts by the way:

All of that Im losing by next month unless things look up, but otherwise usually youre right.

They arent feeling the heat. They are backpedaling and kicking people outnof theur ganes now if they are wearing HK items.

I’ve said this so many times now it’s tiring, but I’ll say it again.

You don’t have to exercise your beliefs to zealot-status levels to have a strong belief and dedication against an ideology. Want proof?

Ok…

Do you gave to go to the gym 10 hours every day, 7 days a week, and eat nothing but broccoli and steam chicken in order for you to truly say you’re health conscious? Is anything less than that level of dedication being “just another hypocrit”?

If your house isn’t sparkling clean, dusted hourly, swept every minute and polished to shine then are you a dirty sinner? Your house can’t be clean unless you exercise that level of “cleanliness”?

And if your mind can’t handle those AbStrAcT coNcePTs then we can try something more relatable. Because you don’t denouse Hitler daily you obviously support him, right? You have PROBABLY purchased clothing from outside of the USA, right? Does that mean you joyously support child slavery?

Obviously not.

Don’t be such a chod. This is why I wish philosophy class was taught in highschool. It should be mandatory.

Yeah, people are taking what Blizzard did and saying, “yo, I’m not liking what is going on here based around the current situation in HK so I’m going to show my displeasure with what you did and take my money somewhere else.” The Blizzard defenders, with most of them having the intelligence levels of bricks, are basically saying it’s stupid unless we stop buying anything made in China. Like, the level of dumb to reach that point of nonsense is astounding.

Thanks, I just think your argument was weak, Blizzard is pro-gay, anti-racism, anti-war?! yet majority of characters in their games are straight, racist and one of their games is called WARcraft. What the point of arguing when the argument isn’t sound?

Now, when we have LGBTQ+ options in character selection screen or only female races then we can talk.

While i have mixed feelings on the topic, the issue for most players isnt that blizz is supporting china. It’s that they censored someone just because they held anti china views/ideals.

Again I have my own varying opinions on what’s happened, but saying that people are hypocrites just because they have stuff that’s “made in china” is skewing what players are actually upset about

“You think you do, but you don’t”…

You think you want Blizzard taking a side on this issue, but in reality… You don’t. And here is why:

If your efforts to sway blizzard are successful, and they do take a side on it (not even gonna suggest which side it would be), this will be seen by the boycott/block communities as a sign that Blizzard can be swayed in other areas. It will rev up all of the people who want THERE special issue handled by the company.

The next time a situation comes up where someone wants Blizzard to take a side… it might NOT be your side. Will you sit quietly when that happens? After all, you wanted Blizzard to take a side.

Fact is that blizzard doesn’t have a history of siding with any one thing. They don’t actively promote/display special movements, because they are a company. In most cases, the best way to succeed/make money is NOT take a political stance as that instantly cuts your potential audience along that stance’s line.

Fact is, as sad as it may seem: This player DID violate his contract. He may have felt compelled to do it. We may sympathize with his statement. We may be unhappy with Blizzard’s decision… But it is blizzard’s decision.

We can wax political all day about whether or not Blizz is kow-towing to foreign governments, and there MAY be an argument to be made. This does not change the legal facts on the issue… Which are the most objective and relevant matters here.

Didn’t the guys that cheated violate their contract? They only got 3 month suspensions.
