Blizz going HAM on 10.0

10 is a nice number. Lets say Blizz wanted to go all out for 10.0 with a huge exp effort.

What would you guys think would bet he most realistic thing to accomplish. 2 new classes to make up for the lack of in BFA and SL, OR, 4 specs for all current classes, even DH’s.

Choose your poison.

I would hope they would get a bit extra dimensional with it beyond specs, classes and races.

Dont get me wrong I want all that and if not that - then Class Skins.

But if 10 IS a big number I’d hope they add some new dimensionality to our characters. Something on the level of new weapon types, a new profession that interacts with the environment. These arent even big ideas but id like to see BIG ideas that change how we play. EVERGREEN. And not borrowed power.

We have had fun/horrible/listless content but the last true game changer was Mythic+ in legion, before that we had:

  • transmogrification
  • dual spec (which lead to having three specs you could choose between without respec costs).
  • Scaling tech is another example though it can be argued its been far less of a boon.

I’d like to see more solo content or a way to do raids solo akin to how the mage tower was incredibly difficult when it first came out. Why doesnt every raid boss have an equivalent to Velen standing by with occasional orbs for heals and disorient? But yeah I know, trash idea - wow was meant to be played with others and I respect that.

I’d love to see them institute mount skills similar to gw2 mount system:

  • each “family” has a particular few moves that could be used, one dismount offensive and one movement ability and a corresponding energy/cd system for them.

Edit:
Id also like a:

  • Holiday revamp.
  • Tiered rewards for achievement point goals.
  • Transmog anything with anything.
  • Armor dyes.
  • Housing for the people that want it. I don’t but its certainly a frequent request.

They aren’t going to make up for anything. The people responsible for WoW when it was good have all left the sinking ship.

Why invest in the game when fanbois are happy to pump revenue into Bobby’s coffers with 200+ days of no content?

The complete separation of pve and pvp.

According to some it will be something related to dragons for 10 . Classes would be still be unbalanced ,pvp will still be third rated content and the same players would continue whining .

Its amazing how many people have absolutely nothing of value to say or cant be bothered with actually responding to the topic but do so anyway.

Honestly you people need a break.

If you guys are so burnt out and unhappy make your own post or pick one of the 100+ that are already on the main page complaining.

I don’t think my idea of a great exp would be the same as others  My idea of great involves removing a lot of stuff so technically my xpac would bring the least amount of stuff out of any xpac so far.

  • Let’s introduce new classes to divert players’ focus from the classes that already remain but can’t be properly balanced.
  • Let’s introduce new specs to divert players’ focus from the specs that already remain but can’t be properly balanced.

Pick your poison.

I legit just resubbed a few hours ago after several months away. For TBC classic, not retail. And I never said anything off topic. Expecting 10.0 to be good with the current dev team of clowns is insanity.

Sounds like you need to lighten up and stop taking a video game GD forum seriously.

1 new class

and… 4 new specs for Warlock… Everyone else suffers.

I don’t think they have to make up for something. We aren’t owed a class every expansion, it’s not a rule. They’ll happen whenever they find one that makes sense.

But I think one new class in 10.0 is pretty reasonable to expect. Not two, and 4th specs will likely never happen either. For many classes they’d just be redundant and tough to find a unique theme that the other three haven’t covered. And be a balancing nightmare. 2-3 specs for a brand new class is much more realistic.

You didn’t read to OP. He didn’t ask what you wanted, he asked for your opinion on if 2 new classes or a 4th spec would be more likely.

I want to say I am excited at the possibilities…

But I am not even buying it. If I do, it will be 2-3 months after release to see if they have learned any lessons from the last 5+ years.

I cannot buy another “box” of letdown. Especially if we have the classics coming out.
