Blizz gave Horde easier access to Allied Races in Both Legion and Now BFA

I cannot imagine how anyone now isn’t exalted with Rustbolt?
I have barely played in Mechagon and my Main earned exalted a month ago. It’s fun content.

Voldunai rep took a while, a fair while; Loremaster for the zone and then World Quests. It wasn’t an easy rep. None of my Alts who leveled there are exalted with the Vulpera.

I main Horde but have unlocked every AR except these latest two, I didn’t have any issues with the Alliance AR’s, and it was all done quite quickly.

i just stopped doing it from burnout for unlocking all the rest. i’ll finish it up before the expansion ends though most likely. kt unlock was not that fun. worth it though.

It wasn’t, I didn’t enjoy much of the Alliance side Loremaster, but Drustvar was amazing.

There were so many HUMANS!

That is so far from the truth it is like you are not even playing the same game. Horde literally started the expansion with 4 factions mounts for 3 factions, 3 of which could fly. Alliance got 3 mounts for 3 factions, all horses, none of them could fly. It took TWO patches for Blizzard to make Alliance a faction flying mount. You were already bored zipping around on your little flying spider mount, however that makes sense, for months before it was announced Alliance was getting anything.

TWO PATCHES LATER! XD!

mechagon rep is less of a PITA than the Vol’dun rep.

horde does not need these. Saving the estalk…I have done no raiding in BFA. Or completed a dungeon. Had a partial run trying to solo MOtherlode on alliance side is all really.

And I have a 120 z troll shaman and 120 mag’har warrior. Literally hit exalted, story was done as needed since wth…its how you get rep too. Just walk up in the embassy and do your thing.

You just do the story open world stuff. No dungeon no raid.

You chose not to play Horde and work on reputation. You made your bed, now you have to lie in it. You don’t see me complaining that I can’t make a DI dwarf. I didn’t do the grind.

Basically that.

Mechagon was also a required rep for pathfinder…

Pathfinder part 2 required you to earn revered status with the rustbolt resistance and the Unshackled/Ankoan.

If you haven’t finished the mechagon rep this entire time, knowing the rep would be required to unlock the race, that’s your own fault.

The most annoying thing with Mechagnomes is that you have to complete the quest which is locked behind a raid that you can’t do a regular LFR for. They’re supposed to solve this by breaking things up in the patch, but that may just mean running two smaller raids.

Sigh.

Not a raid

With LFG will get it done in an evening.

Uh, yeah! I’ve been saying it all along, all this hype for Vulpera/Mechagnomes will dry out after a couple of weeks and normies people will go back to their human/belf mains. Mark-my-words.

Nightfallen couldn’t be done until you hit 110 though, similar to the argus races.

Plus that zones questline had a billion and a half quests in it.

Well maybe a few less but it felt like every time you came close to finishing you unlocked another thread.

But velves are tied to lightforged. You’re likely to unlock lightforged before velves whether you want them or not. Just like Mag’har Orcs and Zandalari Trolls.

Except Horde have had Vol’dun since the beginning of BfA. Alliance didn’t get Mechagon till 8.2. Horde had almost a year to work on Vulpera rep before Alliance could even work on Mechagnome rep.

This is the same thing that happened in Legion as well. Horde had access to Highmountain and Suramar since the beginning of Legion. Alliance didn’t get Lightforged and Void Elves till 7.3. Horde had a whole year to earn their races before Alliance could get their’s.

Ok but that’s not a significant problem. You would have an argument if mechagon was released with 8.3 but it wasn’t. There’s been TONS of time to do both, but Mechagon atleast gives you a bunch of bonus rewards to make it worth doing aside from the allied race. Vol’dun does not.

In legion the issue was that you could easily zerg out HMT while the other 3 you couldn’t. Just because the rep was released later doesn’t mean anything. There was plenty of time to finish both reps well in advance of the races being released. In the case with mechagnomes you could have done the reputation almost 10 times from scratch since the announcement. While with LFD and VE the announcement happened and then people had to grind out reps they were too lazy to finish.

How people are actually complaining about release date is beyond me because it is completely a non-issue.

alliance pigs always crying about something.

Shut up

Agreed, now it doesn’t matter cause they’ve been out for awhile. Enough time for anyone to earn rep with them. My point was at the time, it was an issue, cause Horde got a year head start on the Alliance before they could even get their Allied Races.

So saying Vulpera rep is harder than Mechagnomes doesn’t make sense as Horde have had a whole year to work on Vulpera before Alliance could even work on Mechagnome. By the time Mechagon even came out, most Horde were already exalted or almost exalted with Vulpera. Making it just a waiting game for Horde, while Alliance could finally start working on their Allied Race.

I didn’t say anything about difficulty. I said it’s a pain in the posterior. Mechagon rep is less annoying to do than the vulpera rep. It was far easier for me to go out to Mechagon on my alliance toon, than it was to run all the way out to Vol’dun on my horde - pre Pathfinder of course.

Eh, I guess it’s different opinions really.

I found Vol’dun enjoyable since it is doing different things. Mechagon was boring to me cause it was the same WQs and the same Dailies every day over and over. There was no mega questline or side quests in Mechagon. Just one main quest, and then dailies.

It was like doing Suramar in Legion for Nightborne, which had a lot of quests and story to it. Then going to Argus to do a small quest and then farm WQs the rest of the way for Lightforged/Void Elves.

But to each their own!

Not sure how it was easier. Mechagon is an island off the coast of Stormsong, while Vol’dun is part of the Zandalar continent. It’s closer to your main capital than Mechagon is to Boralus.
