Blizz, fix your pvp sets

Seriously… copy/paste set bonuses? No ingenuity.

Throwing more stamina onto pvp sets is not the play in this burst meta Blizz. Even DoT damage can do 3x-5x the amount of 15 stamina or one skill doing half your HP. There needs to be some kind of “x value %” reduces all incoming damage or increases resistance values to all schools of spells/reduced physical damage.

Not to mention more stamina just means more heals to get from 10% to 100% health.

They had something called “resilience” in TBC, WOTLK and CATA. Very few players went into pvp in pve gear. Actually it worked quite well.

Thats the thing. They wont add resilience into asoD because supposedly itll screw up classic which is just a complete lie.

Resilience is not the perfect fix that you think it is. Not only was resilience changed multiple times over the course of wow (affecting mana burns, affecting dots, etc) but the way it impacts PVP is varied. Do we go with the reduced crit chance and crit damage version? Then you have an issue of disparity. Classes that have automatic crits or extremely high crit chance are affected at a lower rate than classes with less crit. And it makes gearing really bad and binary, especially without alternative stats in Classic. There’s no haste, no way to gem for things like spell pen, no mastery. So crit under the resilience threshold is worthless which feels terrible.

If you go for the % damage reduction from versatility, then you’re just doing what P1 BGs did. They tried passive damage reduction instead of flat health. It was roundly rejected by the PVP community because it made healers virtually immortal. And they had to revert it.

They’re going to have to add Resilience and add a lot of reduced damage from players.

No one is going to survive the burst damage from these classes with that inflated raid gear. 500 Extra health is meaningless.

Resilience is a bad fix, it makes it a priest meta that we saw in phase one with the -5% crit/damage headbands and the -30% damage headbands.

It made it so going up against some classes was a -11% chance to crit when raid buffed on my toon I was at 16.44% (including blackfathom).

So I could only crit for 4.44% which nullified burst classes and all the damage you did (to bring someone to 30-40% hp was healed in a single ability.

The fights would last forever and priests would go even farther ahead at #1 healing with one drinking and the other healing the raid like in phase one bgs

Increase the stamina in bgs/blood moon by 100% and we’ll see some tactics employed in fights.

Also the new pvp sets have less stamina than of stamina greens for their level so this is also a weakness.

Priest were only hard to kill because classes didn’t have the mobility and cc that they have now. Healers right now are completely useless right now. Priest just get stunned and killed almost immediately. The only thing that prevents damage right now is bubble. Without damage reduction they are going to stay useless.

And you should not be able to solo healers. It should always be a coordinated effort.

Resist and higher armor values + Lower % chance of being crit = great pvp gear for classic.
