I don’t agree. I think the prognosis here is that you’ll live.
Valid questions like… why do these people matter?
No i dont want to debate with you why i matter. What a stupid thought.
Matter? I never said you don’t matter. I asked why a smaller population would get preference over a larger population in the game. You turned that into a hate bash, I love my Aussie buddies, I would never claim they don’t matter. I was trying to debate with you. You want to take everything as an insult, that’s why I’m no longer debating, because you aren’t debating, you’re slinging mud.
We were never debating. You are just whinging
Works in my favor cause I work
Go watch Ben Shapiro’s interview with Andrew Neil on the BBC, that’s how you are acting, taking everything as an insult rather than a debate topic. And cool down.
its not a debate. im not going to argue that one player base is more important than another, you share the maintenance period with people on the other side of planet, deal with that. The times are best suited to the most people as a whole, its not going to be perfect for anyone.
Central Time and Mountain Time gamers have it best for sure.
Isn’t their update like perfectly aligned with standard EST work hours?
it’s bad news for NEETs, apparently
If they actually hit that target people wouldn’t be so salty. What actually happens is extensions and stuff is always busted.
FFXIV is managed in Japan so midnight PST is 4pm their time.
But you dont have valid questions?
The reason maintainence is done during PST business hours is that is when those teams are awake and working. In a global game in which outages affect everyone the actual start and end times are bad for some people in every timezone as such the Blizzard team does what is convenient for their staff.
Which is start when people get to work and end before close of business the same day. Obviously most maint windows are just reboots of a few minutes in length which dont impact anyone but the longer maintainences will affect someone everywhere.
Start at midnight and you affect the late night crowd who was going to play till 4-5 am. Start at 4am and your affecting the pre work players, start at 8am and your affecting those who have no responsibilities till lunch, start at 12pm and you affect students who sleep till lunchtime start at 4pm and you affect those who work on school schedules start at 8pm and you affect the prime time crowd.
And thats just 1 timezone, you then have to look at all those groups across 24 different timezones and then you realise, who cares lets just start when we get in the office boys.
Thank you. You took the time to come up with a reasonable explanation. That’s all I wanted. The other guy was taking the needling topics as attacks. That wasn’t my intention, I wanted someone to give a thought out response from their POV that makes sense. You can’t ask an open question if you want specific answers, you have to ask targeted questions, that’s how real debates work. Does it seem biased from the askers POV? Maybe, but you have to ask those questions otherwise they can be glossed over.
East Coast, Least Coast.
I must say that was a rather amusing interview, but Neil’s “interview” with Alex Jones was a great deal more entertaining.
That was a good one.
And so why can t each zone be done at 3am? Seriously who cares if EU is up before X
lots of people, its a new raid and dungeon today. WF is still a thing
Who exactly do you think you are? If you want earlier hours, file a job application and head into the office at 3AM EST so you can do the maintenance yourself.
