Blizz doesn't care about EST gamers

You guys should just update in early in the morning smh.

They used to. The maintenance used to start at like 4am EST. Apparently Europe didn’t like it, the babies.

It’s a blessing  on during sleep/work hours for me now.

I guess someone somewhere will be impacted by maint hours whether positive or negative.

I feel like EST actually always benefits the most. The vast majority of the raid groups in this game are within the sweet spot time for EST. PST gotta struggle to find a group that starts later than 5-6pm.

It’s almost like they live in California. It’s almost like they care about taking care of themselves and not forcing themselves to wake up at ungodly hours of the morning.

I know, crazy.

West coast company. You’ll survive.

Wow, really? I experience the exact opposite. I thought PST had all the groups.

Actually I think it was the Oceanians that complained because 4am was 6pm for them and their “prime time” so Blizz changed it.

It’s one day. We’ll be complaining about being bored in a week. Let them have the time they need to ensure nothing is bricked on launch.

It’ll be up after I eat dinner. I’m not worried about it. I don’t need someone getting up before the sun comes up just to cater to my timezone.

Vast majority of the raid groups start at 5pm PST. Most people dont even get home from work until after that, let alone make dinner and eat and everything before raid.

OP should grow up.

Either way. Thanks for screwing us all over except PST.

West Australia here. Yeah, from what I recall it used to be early tuesday evenings for me. And 8 hours of maintenance used to be the standard. Think about that, young whipper-snappers! 8 hours every week!

The current standard server down time starts at 10pm on tuesday evening. Honestly it’s both good and bad. If I’m being sensible I can take it as the prompt to shut down, get ready for bed and have a decent night’s sleep. But I never do that. What actually happens is I kill an hour, usually on the forums. Then at 11pm there’s a whole new week of stuff to do and I jump back in the game for several hours and spend my life perpetually tired.

I’m on holidays at the moment, so my sleep is pure chaos. It’s currently just past 445am, on Wednesday. I actually went to sleep around 9pm last night, and have been awake since about 3am. I was hoping the servers would be back up, so it’s a shame they’re not.

Yep…maintenance during the morning to mid day totally makes sense versus really late during the night (roll eyes). I personally don t care what the reason given is (which I believe it simply is not having to pay people for extra hours at night because apparently Blizzard is cheap) I just feel very annoyed that I am unable to play for a whole day during the morning and afternoon when the same work could have been done during late night when most players are sleeping.

I guess it makes too much sense so hey why not do it during normal business hours…right?

Crap employer with crap employees does crap job. What an effin surprise. Imagine being in charge of major maintenance on a product and rather than coming in early you decide it’s more effective to disrupt service for hours because you couldn’t start your day four hours earlier in preparation for such a thing. Like who da f are these people. Gaming industry has some joke people.

Well as you are surely aware, EST is not the only time zone to exist.
