Bots have completely overrun every farming spot in SOD!! Want to aoe farm crabs in Westfall, sorry it’s overrun with bots! Want to farm spiders in duskwood for spider silk, yep you guessed it 15 or so bots running up and down the river insta killing them! Want to farm the clams for pearls in wetlands, you guessed it overrun! this stuff is insane it’s been 2 weeks and real people can’t farm due to so many bots! I love what blizz is doing with SOD gameplay wise, but the moderation is just out of hand! A single mod per server could make such a huge difference I mean it’s not like the map is that big at this level and these bots are not even trying to hide!!! So please blizz do something soon before phase 2 or else people will just move back to private servers where they actually have mods banning bots!

Ive been making it a habit to follow the bots around and tag their mobs before they do. I feel your pain tho
Everywhere on Lava Lash. 11 level 25 hunter bots in Scarlet Monastery right now. Won’t list their names, but they’re usually something like Qzxtpz. Nothing suspicious there.
I have to agree. There are areas that have become unplayable because there are so many bots. I came across multiple quests that took forever because all the mobs were killed by bots. It’s so blatant and shameless, and they know Blizzard doesn’t do anything.
It’s absolutely ridiculous that they are active even a single day. They couldn’t be more obvious if they tried and they need to be banned the second they start farming.
They need to take legal action against the companies making the bots, as they’ve done before. They’re trying to cheap out now, or worse, make even more money off the problem with Tokens. They need to shut down GDKPs, and they need to ban buyers outright, no appeals!
Heck, at this point they don’t even need to hire people to do it. They can literally have bots out there banning bots. Blizzard is now owned by Microsoft, which has access to one of the most powerful AI programs currently available to the public, Bing.
Bots can only move in very specific ways, even if they’re programmed so good as to be undetected by humans, AI can pick it up effortlessly. Pattern recognition is the most common aspect to training AI.
They could do this on the cheap without having to hire a bunch of people to moderate it, they just need to quit looking at the short term profits the bots bring in and think about the long term profitability that actually doing something to combat this would bring as it’d draw back a lot of long term players who shelved the game because the botting is so horrible.
It’d also do a lot to make private servers less appealing, since right now pservers actually does what Blizzard currently refuses to do, ban bots, gold sellers, AND gold buyers.
If they region lock servers and disable VPN usage they would remove 95% of the bot problem instantly…wonder why they dont…
Where do Alliance bots congregate? Just Westfall and Duskwood? Bit of a pain to farm those as horde, compared to Alliance being able to go to Hillsbrad to cull our robotic plague.
Give us a flight path into duskwood and I’ll happily collect the free honor from camping them.
While I agree with legion-locking, there are valid reasons for VPN usage. Some people get better ping by routing their connection a different way, to name one.
Wild growth has a queue right now because of bot accounts. I was questing in southern barrens last night and 50% of the players I ran into were hunter bots
I think people can deal with slightly less ping if it meant no more bots.
Cancel your sub, its the only way to get them to listen.
Back in Cata I would flag my warrior and they would auto attack me and I’d kill them. Wonder if they will still do that.?
