As I said a couple of days ago in my thread that was taken down bb cuz nno1 believed me…
Soomee Mobs are doing 10-15% less damage than it should be and some mobs are doing half the damage of what they should be doing.
Hopefully, Blizzard can fix this b4 launch… that 6 damage per hit difference (from a lvl 28 mob) takes the game from being good to being too EZ.
More info here…

Blizz should at least address what is going on so posts like these can stop.

Check out the source I just edited in. You have to be a vanilla master to notice these things.

I can’t tell if you’re purposely misleading people, or just not reading what you’re posting/linking.

What are you talking about? The stone skin totem bug where it continues reducing damage even after you leave its range or the totem is destroyed? Yeah, I guess that does reduce the damage you take, but thats a totem bug. You realize people without that totem or that don’t enter the range of one (I.E. the entire Alliance testing playerbase) would not have encountered this right?
Its a literal faction specific bug. Of course you probably got conflicting reports on being able to reproduce it…

No, actually read the post. There are soo many.
Soo many mobs are doing way less dmg than they should and it seems like Blizz is trying to cover it up hoping we all forget.
I seriously doubt they’re trying to “cover it up”. Good lord…not everything is a conspiracy, grandpa. It’s just probably not as widespread-only specific mobs, and probably pretty random in occurrence, if it’s even truly incorrect to begin with.
Well…that’s something at least.
Have they come out and said they checked dmg numbers against their reference client?
Not that I know of. This is my opinion, but i do think this could potentially be a sensitive topic Blizzard may not want to address. We all know they have 1.12 numbers.
But if you were Blizzard how much do you want the public to know how the 1.12
data flows through the new retail engine? In essence, that’s already sort of a “re-tune”. In this case, it just made things easier.
If the official word is that the numbers being used aren’t “real” then that’s going to create a @#$% storm of feedback.
People are conveniently ignoring video comparisons from 2006 in the comments, that show the numbers are correct.

I hope you’re joking, because I’m getting destroyed by quest mobs on the beta.

The last character I leveled was in like patch 1.6.
But some streamer soloing the vicious fallout in gnomer - a level 30 elite is kind of alarming. Was 1.12 that easy?
Oh look another one of these posts. MAEK TEH GAEM HADRER!!!

Viscious fallout was soloable by rogues during vanilla. I got the dagger it drops for my rogue by doing that and resetting the instance.
Xaryu was AOE grinding on his 22 mage last night on stream, and he had a death counter which said he had died 17 times. If a mage as good as Xaryu died that many times, then I doubt that mob damage is bugged too low.
Also, check out Joana’s 1-60 speed run video from Vanilla many years ago. He didn’t die a single time until he was in STV and pulled too many mobs. Vanilla wasn’t as hard as many want to suggest.

Yeah but at level 30? Hey, I’m not one to say what is incorrect about leveling the later patches, but … that’s just doesn’t make sense.
Every good vanilla mage knows not to AOE solo b4 lvl 26. AoEing before lvl 26 = suicide mission every pull.
Lmao are you actually suggesting that blizzard is trying to “cover up” a 10-15% damage reduction??
Illuminati!
