All set bonuses are bad for hunters. Lower dps in all specs compared to t1 sets.
This is a hidden way to put us down even more, instead of nerfing abilities.
It’s insane how I can get 20 more ilvls with a new set and put out less damage that the older set. Anything from 2-5k less dps.
Ridiculous.
I assume you checked the other classes’ tier set bonuses? Remember, it’s not a class nerf if it doesn’t fall behind the others…
My shadow priest set bonuses work in favor and increases my damage output by a nice percentage. While my hunters doesn’t.
Obviously I don’t have all classes equipped with all sets but from what I’ve been seeing from other players as well such as druids and shamans they all increase their damage output.
I see. This may be a FOTM issue, not that I’m suggesting Hunter was FOTM lately.
survival’s is good this tier as well, especially after t29 was nerfed.
I thought long ago that Survival’s tier set bonus would be terrible. But today I can’t say that! I’m getting excellent DPS against specializations that are at the top in stats on stones between 15 to 19 with the same ilv or higher. I’m not going to say that the survival tier set is wonderful, but it’s good and you can fight on equal terms if you know what to do. I don’t have much to say about BM and MM but about SV the tip is: take the 4 pieces, take Rashok’s weapon, take the BIS trinkets, use the items created with shadowflame and good game!

MM isnt much better, until you have 441 to replace it, 2 Piece T29 is still better.
not to jump on the holy hand grenade that is shadow nerfing hunters, but technically it’s a nasty upgrade for survival and sv is fkn insane right now, people are just cowards and don’t want to play the spec. mm and bm set being weaker than s1 is true, but that happens to some classes every xpac that has tier sets. hunter isn’t alone in that.
People aren’t cowards for not liking an intruding melee spec on a ranged class.

Hunters: WOW! Those are the best looking Tier sets we have ever got.
Devs: Make the Tier sets crap, hunters cant have both cool looking and good performing…

IDK about the best looking tier sets, but it is one of the better looking ones. I can salvage pieces to make a cool mog, but eh.

I feel the same, to be fair at this point the best way forward would be 4 specs. But we cant even get 1 spec that isnt buried in the dirt.

There’s nothing wrong with liking all the specs, I play all 3. But there’s no excuse for the tier set bonuses for 2 of our 3 specs. And weeks without an update to it is just ridiculous.
My Fury warrior and demology warlock pumps with the 4 set !
