Because different types of content/storyline to keep an RPG/immersion element.
Tell that to different countries and cultures.
Nope. People just like to complain.
This is also true!
Unless you’re staring at your currency tab every second while you’re in game, I don’t see how. Do content, earn stuff, use stuff. I don’t pay attention much to currencies unless when I go to buy something I don’t have enough, then I focus solely on that.
I am just waiting patiently on the day when someone at Blizzard looks at how elegant and simple FFXIV’s poetic system is and goes ‘Oh yeah, hey maybe we could do something like that’.
…But who am I kidding, Blizzard never goes for the simple answer when complexity could be crammed in somehow.
I enjoy the other currencies, because they add more RP flavor to the world. I wouldn’t want them to automatically convert or deplete either as a new expansion arrives. They are like mementos. They also aren’t difficult to earn.
I want nothing more than a moneychanger who can trade one type of currency for another, even if there is a hefty tax involved. I have a ton of kej and absolutely nothing to do with it. I want rid of it. I would trade if for any other currency in the current game even at a 50% loss, but nope. Just piles and piles of spider-dollars sitting around.
Sandworn Relics should have been a currency back when they were introduced - we had ways of trading anima back then anyways.
Honestly, if an item isn’t used for crafting, can’t be equipped or used, and can’t be traded outside your account, and only exists to be traded to NPCs, it should be a currency.
I’m a big fan of you and Broly, yeah I didn’t say it was a big deal, really just unnecessary. They could allow us to arrange the list as we would wish. They could consider a basic coin of the whole realm, and have a conversion toon who needs to see a set amount of rep in any particular group. (e.g. to buy this item you need 140 blizbuck and lvl 5 of Hallowfall Arathi. I think the game has way too many areas (profession knowledge, talents, etc. that take too much time, although I don’t mind at all for the talents ne way thanks for the feedback
Or worse, those anima thingies. Nothing like going around Zereth Mortis and having your bags fill up with 35 different types of anima items. Please, let’s never do that again.
