Bliz bleeding their own game

Every great in shop mount, every recruit a friend amazing bonus, net’s Blizzard 60 extra dollars from one person and causes 2 or 3 people who might have subbed for 4 more years think about quitting.

Putting quality items into the game shop demoralizes the player base and loses the game subs.

From the spring of life comes hope eternal indeed! Our elective transparance has caused the variable indunation of our generation!

But the purchases off set the sub loss so the investors don’t find out so it’s all ok right?

One day microtransactions will fully fund this game.

I’m ok with shop mounts, I dont think its unreasonable to think a business is in the business of making money. Cosmetics sell, people like them and will pay for them.
BUT
I would like to see the in game attainable mounts have a similar level of finish. So many of the mounts are just tonal reskins of one version (which is fine) but they should at least be well rendered and look nice, not just 5 grey/dull versions of the same thing. And theres so many animals, real and imagined, that you could turn into mounts, mechanical and organic things. We dont need another 50 horse and bat combos.

I mean, but all of this stuff can be purchased with gold.

If you quit over a store mount then you probably have nothing tying you to WoW anymore anyways. Kind of a flimsy reason to leave.

Mounts are cosmetic luxuries. You don’t need them, it’s not required. And the store can be bought with gold through tokens. It’s just something fun to buy for yourself or gift to others. There’s plenty of unique things in WoW already from non-store means.

Why cant people farm gold to buy tokens with gold and get them again?

But you can shoot for it. In theory it’s actually a significantly less amount of effort (with no utility) than say the Brutosaur.

Most of the cutting edge mounts are garbage too. Sylvanas comes to mind (yo are yall serious? Nobody uses Dragonhawks). But a store mount gets the most effort.

I don’t have an issue with store mounts but I do have an issue with how cool some of them are, if that makes any sense at all :joy:

I mean but look at the 4 horse mounts we got for 9.1, those have quite a bit of polish to them, also m Sylv mount ain’t too shabby either

Pretty sure I haven’t been demoralized.

they could of actually did their job first and start rolling out new content before mounts but nah who cares. another whole month before new stuff and not even really no new stuff then. keep rolling them mounts out while i wonder what kind of devs your hiring that cant even get new content out oh wait i forgot it was the whole systems thing again.

dont claim mage tower expeditions and old dungeon mythic+ as new. new content blizz might actually make me want to buy a mount but it never comes.

eh, a couple look alright, the one from the nine isnt terrible, but its still just another horse mount, nothing really unique about it.
I’m not a huge fan of the mythic sylv mount, but then I also think the actual bow she drops looks like hot trash as well for a legendary item. Just doesnt look like her aesthetic at all and just looks basic.

Are any of them really great?

Im fine with store mounts as long as those can be bought with gold (tokens turned to blizz balance ) .

Investors will gladly turn a sustainable field fallow for $1 extra

:raised_hand:

I just want everyone to know I’m not demoralized

Why does someone recruiting a friend or buying store mount made the other 3 people want to quit?

Lol take off your tinfoil hat.
