As a long time engineer I would also like this. I would also like a new engineering mount, that doesn’t depend on other professions. That used to be cool. I miss making Mechano-Hogs.

We engineers get no love, as usual. Although it seems like the other professions are more and more sinking to our neglected level, sadly.
But a Blingbot 8k would be great, along with either a new mechanical mount, a new mechanical pet or pets, or maybe a new piece of mount equipment, say something that allows a Sky Golem to mine ore nodes without dismounting.
It has always seemed silly that you can gently pick some herbs with that big Sky Golem while mounted but you can’t use it mounted to mine an ore node.

As much as I love transmog and other cool racial additions I feel like professions and my favorite engineering should get at least as much love and attention.

The problem is that an upgraded Blingtron needs to be cooler than previous models. It needs to award better gifts and it needs enhanced functionality. I don’t think the current development team knows how to improve upon existing Blingtrons. The problem seems to be a total lack of ideas.
What would be the super special item Blingtron could drop? A recolored mount? Pft. Nobody wants that.
They haven’t made anything new in engineering in a long time. Everything lately is an updated iteration of items from a previous expansion.
The truth is that there needs to be a small (like 3 person) development team in charge of every profession, and they need to be given permission to dive into the design of the profession and do whatever they can to make it cool again.
Engineering was always my favorite, but all the professions need love. They are such a great development resource for going forward, but no one at Blizzard seems to be paying attention to them anymore.
They forgot to include Archaeology in this expansion despite the fact that we’re visiting the oldest lands to ever exist. 
engineering is the only profession that has in-combat bonus or utility in the form of a knock back on belt and brez item (not counting drums since you don’t have to be leather working to use)

I don’t want another one but it’s solely because I’m bitter that after daily droppings of the earlier versions I still haven’t looted the Knockoff Blingtron pet. I won’t buy it, I just refuse, I will get it from the thing it comes from >:(
Seriously, drop for me already it’s been years.
I honestly think Engineer is getting Neglected over and over to make room for a Class that focuses on engineering.
I Think Engineering would be a great profession in they:

Gave Engineer Goblin Gliders, Jeeves, Portable Transmog, and Blingtron Every Expac

Gave Engineer a Focus on Craftable Guns, and gave them Gun Attachments for Every Secondary Stat

Gave Engineer a Craftable B-Rez every Expac

Stop Giving Engineer Bombs every Expac, They’re useless and pointless in Modern WoW’s design.
That Way you Have Engineering being Genuinely Usefull again, and we can get a Class that’s all about Bombs, Missiles, and Turrets and such.

Engineering was almost as badly treated as Archaeology. It was actually present, but just sort of dead.
