Blessing of Sanctuary question

It works like Druid Thorns but on Block? If so does that mean it really is meant for Paladin or Warrior alone? I am making a build that has all blessings covered as a support Paladin.

Sure, so 2 parts to it:

Like thorns on block as you mentioned, so paladin or warrior tank with sword/board. It’ll work better on a Warrior as they can force blocks on a regular basis, although a paladin going full prot to Holy Shield will get a heavy amount of blocking going on (though obviously they’ll have this talent available). Since tankadins get the extra threat from Righteous Fury the holy damage helps a little extra here. However, in small-group content where you’re the only paladin keep in mind that depending on the content the tank will likely prefer Kings for the extra stamina (and other stats) though.

It also gives the slight damage reduction which works on everyone. However you probably wouldn’t ever put it on everyone unless you’ve got a zillion paladins with every other buff available.

Since your spec seems to be holy-focused, if there are other talents you’d prefer you can probably drop it. Also if primarily healing you may as well drop Anticipation since the +10 defense really only matters if mobs/players are hitting you while you’re not casting (if you’re casting then you can’t block/dodge/parry so defense skill doesn’t really help you).

Thanks for the input!
