Based on how I read the tooltip, Blessing of freedom seems a bit bugged if you have the unbound talent.
If you cast freedom on yourself, and you have the unbound freedom talent, it will cast it also on a nearby player, regardless if you targeted them or not, or if they’re even in raid or group.
This usually isn’t an issue and is kind of nice when doing a run back or a long run in raid, but it does not make sense for certain boss fights. Example: Ara Kara last boss, where people need to be rooted. Paladins can cheese that at least once with Divine shield, but if they’re in a bad place and need to freedom and Divine Shield, guess what, someone else’s root is gonna break too.
I also noticed while in Dornogal, I could freedom myself and random players around me (not in group) would also get the blessing. Usually it targets nearest to you.
I believe it’s supposed bless both if you target someone else. At least that’s how it seemed to work for me prior to the anniversary update.
To be clear, I don’t hate the behavior on any other instance except for that last boss in Ara’Kara. I would hate to have to remember to swap talents just for that fight, where as the rest of the dungeon it could be helpful.
