Anyone else notice this? Dark ranger marksmanship hunter. Logging out in Undermine and logging back in will replace Bleak Arrows with Auto Shot. As will summoning and dismissing your D.R.I.V.E. car. As will dying. As will zoning into and out of Sidestreet Sluice.
I can’t be the only person this is happening to, and if so, what exactly would be causing -only- me to experience it? I disabled all addons and the bug persisted.
Only occurs in Undermine and Sidestreet Sluice. Doesn’t seem to affect the Liberation of Undermine raid.
Only “fix” while in Undermine is changing spec to Sentinel and then back to Dark Ranger.
Have you submitted a bug report? Sounds eerily familiar to the intermittent issues with master’s call and intimidation. These also sometimes bug out when you change specs, phase in and out of pvp instances, etc.

Yeah, submitted last week, I think. Also noticed my pet randomly “learning” Master’s Call. Also also: noticed pet passives doubling the talent passives and all you have to do is have your pet out, mount, fly for 0.1 seconds to get your pet to despawn, and when you land and it respawns you’ll have 2x passives—both the talent and the pet bonus.

Pet passives were doubling down on the marks talent until the very last of the ptr, after they were reimplemented. It’s not surprising at all that there are bugs. They had to mess with core pet mechanics a lot in a short period of time.
I feel like they could have just left Lone Wolf and reworked it with Spotter’s Mark in mind. You have a pet out, you don’t get the bonus—just like it is now, except minus a weird “choice” node for no reason that seems to be a root cause of MM pet bugs.
I have a lot of other things to say about MM, but we’d be here all day. I just hope they start ironing things out.

Anothr bug - tame a new pet as MM - and both passives/actives work!

Yes, the pet situation actually makes 0 sense any way you look at it. The spec would likely be much different now had they planned on this from the beginning. Imagine being the one writing the code for 11.1 hunter.
- Write new code to replace pet utilities for marks. New ms effect, new talents replacing pet passives, command pet. New intimidation, new RoS.
- Re-introduce the pets that you just designed away.
- Recode all of the pets to not do the things that you just coded into marks while you’re that spec.
Lone wolf always sucked as a talent. Pet definitely felt more like a liability in PvP despite being necessary for the utility. Having to call/dismiss in high level pve was awkward. They could have just flat out removed the talent and remade the spec assuming it’s going to use a pet at all times, and just made the various pet interactions better. Now instead of one problematic talent, we have a bunch of class-wide pet bugs and multiple problematic talents in the marks tree.
