I’m really confused why no one wants to play Grobbulus. Something wrong with those guys?
You can even see that the Blaumeux discord is catching up really quickly. discord.gg/MbQDrpH
Guess people just don’t like RPPVP.

I blame the “don’t roll here if you won’t RP” threads around the net. You know they’re going to report every name that doesn’t have a 3 page backstory.
Personally, not a fan of the name Grobbulus. It’s pretty bad.
While having a passionate fan base, role play/pvp is a niche server. More will come on launch.
Medium servers are already ahead in pop over traditional Vanilla high pop servers.
Medium was achieved well before launch, giving strong evidence the population will play classic more than retail, so the population should be healthy throughout the phase releases.
The Faction balance is also, by what polls we have, 50/50.
Grobby is fine.
You’re right, however it is concerning because they were there from the beginning.
No to RP no thanks
Wasn’t there a really long forum thread telling players to stay away from Grobbulus if they weren’t going to RP all the time?
And all their beloved toon names would be mass reported if they weren’t RP enough?
You take that back, infidel.
Imagine choosing a server based off the name.
Medium is a great spot for Grob. Will add more at launch, and likely avoid a mega-queue.
Medium now is going to be high or full at launch. Full now…means 5-10 hours Qs.
True, however it is a bit concerning because they were there from the beginning,
I’m fine with medium pop, at least we’ll have less queues.
There from beginning, sure, but not many want to play RP. More will sub once at launch.
Could be, but those are just people being jerks.
I rolled on a RP server in vanilla and I loved it. There were plenty of people that liked to PVP and Raid and way less jerks in general than when I played with other friends on non PVP servers.
I never RPed once, just don’t interrupt others if they are, easy stuff.
@ some of the RP hate here.
As someone who has been on RP-PVP Server Emerald Dream. You really don’t know how amazing the RP element fuels into the PVP and Guild elements of the game when done properly.
And we’re not even talking about heavy RP requirements either. Most of the RP I did on ED was light and mostly to feed into reasoning of planned events and everything. Very rarely did I ever sit and do full blown dialogue chat unless leading an event that was based heavier into a guild’s story idea/design.
It excuses guild ideas like full race/class guilds that then claim bases in the world to defend against attacks. Guilds then work together across faction to plot out guild wars and so forth. Guild alliances forming as well. It really is amazing.
And yes, the “Don’t roll here” threads are stupid annoying.
Grob doesn’t seem to be that popular, i don’t think it will even hit high pop until months after classic launch.
Every piece of server data I have been able to find indicates that Grobbulus has the most equal faction balance out of all of the Classic servers.
Currently, the alliance has EIGHT more players than the Horde on Grob… EIGHT… No, that’s not a typo. EIGHT.
