Can you prove that you are in-fact the father of these two kids on this gofundme and not just some scammer?

Forgive my skepticism, but I do think this is important to establish. I’m sure that there are plenty of people out there willing to help your son out, but the main issue is legitimacy. If you made a post about this on the gofundme, or a social media post, that would not only clarify that this is real, but it will also widen the potential of support your son could receive.

Why try for the trading card game stuff, though? It pretty much no longer exists.

Have you helped him get things he can just “get” in game, with your help or without?(solo) The Lucid nightmare is an example, as well as Uuna, etc. These are all I can get really, but I had fun getting them.

I think he isn’t making this post on a “gofundme” page, because he is asking for guild help rather than money. Don’t those one people do this for people anyway, as far as getting mounts? For free? I forget what they are called.

I have no idea if your son is sick or not, but the forums are not really the place to be doing this. It is advertising, which isn’t allowed, and you would be far better off doing fund raising yourself. There are lots of ways to do it and a google will probably give you lots of ideas - rather than appealing to strangers to donate money to something they can’t verify (which is fair, when you think about it).

I’m not saying you are lying, I am just saying this really isn’t the place, and I suspect it will be removed shortly.

pretty disgusting post tbh … these are things that almost no one can afford.

This is the car equivalent of you saying that you’re too poor to buy your son a car and then begging for a Ferrari for his first set of wheels.

Not to mention, we just went through a huge Go Fund Me scam and this was poor timing to attempt to post on a game forum where it doesn’t belong.

Well they have achievements going back to 2009, one being “savagely epic” which they can’t get at level 20.

Well I would teach them that material gains aren’t a solution for happiness, but maybe playing the game side by side with his family leveling together, questing together, dungeons, raids, pvp together would be a happiness he may never have thought be a thing. Lot of kids end up giving up on their stuff when they get to spend time with their parents and do activities together!

There is actually a gofundme page up with marty and jacob that has earned $34495 and the goal is $44000. Says they put a downpayment on the van.

But asking for wow trading card stuff now too? wow… just wow. Obviously the van is not good enough and you need more.

Why does it have to be TCG mounts? I mean, those are ridiculously expensive, and if you’re struggling to buy a van then vanity items in WoW should be WAY down your list of priorities.

Honestly, this smells really dodgy to me. You reached your goal, then decided “Oh actually we can do better” and upped it. And now you’re using your sick kid to ask for hundred/thousand dollar TCG mounts? It just seems extremely strange, and in pretty bad taste. Plus, posting on a Level 20 with 305 Achievement points? There’s SO much you could do in the game together that doesn’t involve expensive vanity items, so it’s suspicious that that is your priority.

If you want advice on some awesome things you could do in the game together, give me a whisper: RwNZ#1638 but if you’re only after expensive mounts then I honestly don’t even believe you’re for real.
