Dang it. Did you have war mode on perhaps? I rarely leave WM.
One of those cases of doing it when current. I donât use discord but heard there is some mount discord that maybe can help. Also try WM off.
And as pepperbottom said, unless patch broke anything⌠which is a big possibility lol
I didnât get the mount but trying to give some help.
This is the only one I know about
WM was off (Iâve never used it). I did notice groups were few and far between. Thatâs why I think 4 of the days it spawned while waiting for a group. But I did find 2 while camping. I was late to the game and I bet groups were up quite a lot early on. I hope the spawn time isnât broken and I wish you the best of luck getting Blanchy!
Yup that seems to be the one, again I donât use discord but many a mount collector have said that place has helpful ppl and groups going for various stuff.
Yep it does, the Wow community discords have been fairly helpful in my experience. Most of them are well moderated and have well behaved users ⌠unless you go into a âGeneralâ channel and someone brings up politics and chat gets heated In the âgame chat onlyâ channels things are usually nice
Thereâs a ton of phasing in new content, and some in old, too. Sometimes itâs a matter of some questline that permanently changed the world but you donât remember doing.
Definitely easier during launch. Iâd just sit there and work on fishing in the river to pass the time
âyour solutions dont work. by the way, i followed your solution and it workedâ
why do some people have such a hard time taking Lâs that they dig their L hole even deeper lol
how about doing this in 2024
Might be a bug. When I was farming that mount it definitely spawned in about an hour. A little more or less sometimes, but the timer never went to 2 hours.
The spawn was definitely busted for me. Obviously there is no groups to join in current content and I waited there for over 2 hours and nothing.
This post will not be as helpful as Iâd like.
Being randomly re-sharded was really bad in DF when I did Blanchy. Sharding has been better since then, but each shard has its own timer for a rare. So if you keep getting bumped to new shards the timer will be different and you might never see the rare. Even if it is spawning on time on each shard youâre not there anymore to see it.
The only way Iâve really found to track shards on retail is NPCTimer. It adds a clock on NPCs and most mouse-over interactable objects that tells you how long it has been since they spawned. For permanent objects (like grappling hooks in the maw) and fixed NPCs (vendors/quest givers etc.) this tells you precisely how old the shard is.
For example the shard of Dornogal Iâm in right now has been up 8 hours 27 minutes.

Being re-sharded will also clear any current target (like mobs) that stayed on the previous shard.
This doesnât really -help- since you canât do anything about it, groups and raids are also re-sharded since itâs up to how shard populations are being rebalanced in the background. But if you check the stuff around you and itâs been alive 8 hours, then next time 5 minutes, you at least know you got sharded and thatâs why youâre not seeing the rare.
Edit: RP realms are supposed to be exempt from most sharding outside current zones and unusually high pop events, but idk how to leverage that if youâre from a non-RP realm. It does make being on an RP realm a distinct advantage for farming rarespawn stuff from older xpac zones, however.
