Blades of the Fallen Prince artifact weapons are too small

These weapons pale in comparison to any other legion artifact weapon and it’s such a shame, the weapons with the most potential and such a huge lore backing are just visually so underwhelming simply just because of their size, they look more like daggers than swords and it seems blizzard is aware of this judging by their latest ad for The War Within Epic Edition:

Blizzard literally increased the size of the weapons just for the video and left the in game version tiny, they’re literally over double the size of the actual weapons and look like 2 handers. These would easily be some of the best DK transmog weapons of all time and they clearly know the size of the weapons are so small that they had to go out of their way to do this for the video. So if Blizzard is aware of this why do they leave it like that in game???

Here’s a side by side comparison:

remove the spaces in the links for them to work, cant include links in my posts sadly

Just use the hidden artifact version. Very bulky.

i agree that appearance is actually a cool set of swords but i dont think its a valid excuse for blizzard to not deliver on such important weapons for all the other appearances

Forget the toothpick frostmournes, give us full size 2h frostmourne artifact appearances. Most of the current artifact weps could be Jade into decent looking 2h without much work.

I’m hoping if legion remix ever becomes a thing fDKs will finally get some 2h artifact wep appearances!

for real!!!

One of the reasons they were nicknamed the toothpicks.

Base version is weak.
Unlocked versions are ok, hidden skin is one of the best 1h mogs in the game.

They look better smaller.

I do not understand the fixation on having everything over-sized.

Besides, as some commenters said use other appearances lol.

They look sword sized to me. I dont know what daggers you guys have been using that is almost he length of your leg, but I have news for you… those arent daggers.

Oh, and forshortening makes things appear a lot larger than they are. The swords were right up in your face while the wielder was further away… that makes the swords look larger.

“yeah it’s cool if it sucks and is objectively terrible, just use something else instead of having everything be good.”

Objectively terrible?

In a world of warcraft full of oversized weapons labeled as swords that might as well be relabeled as maces because they look like clubs?

I know appearances is something that looks good or bad by the beholder but come on man, there is so much options to choose from including from the legion artifacts for over sized weapons that one or 2 actual normal sized swords that actually looks like they can cut you isn’t that big of a deal (hint, oversized swords is known to not be sharp, but deals most of it’s damage by it’s weight instead, via blunt trauma)

We’ve been complaining about it since legion.

you are missing the point, the video blizzard made had the swords much larger. clearly blizzard agrees they prefer how it looks when its bigger but it almost seems like an oversight that they made it smaller in-game. why else would they make it bigger for the video? because it looks WAY better large.

He really isnt.

They actually didnt.

They havent said that anywhere and we can say clearly blizzard agrees that dk should be DW when you want to cherry pick your evidence.

Your side by side comparison is using different races… why? When you actually look at the swords on a female orc, the swords are massive, if you do a side profile view holding the swords, from pummel to tip is about as long as bottom of the foot to the shoulder. Thats like 80% of the body length and that is in game right now. The video is the accurate size of the sword in game when used by a female orc.

i quite like them, and use them
the base version, the simplest ones
great on a female BE dk
excellent size
no complaints whatsoever

OP, there are so many others to choose from, go forth and collect them all my son

I am not missing the point.

This sounds right. Weapons has different sizes baised on race/gender. For some reason for females they tend to be bigger then for males.

I was an art major. Did everything you could possibly do in the arts and right when I seen the short little clip I knew it was due to perspective. You can make your arm look really long and your hand have the size of your torso depending on how close it is to the camera and where the camera is. You can also do some weird stuff with distance to the camera and camera zooms to get different weird results as well.

But from doing measurements the blades on a female orc they are pretty big.
