I know there are plenty of mixed feelings on dracthyr evokers but i personally hate just the sight of them. Dragon form looks terrible, the class is incredibly bland and boring to play. So far it seems the class was just rushed with very little effort or direction. Like a 8 year old just finished watching how to train your dragon movies and made the expansion in an afternoon. Overall dissapointed in the whole thing. Whenever i see one it just doesnt feel like it belongs in wow and destroys my immersion.
My opinion aside though I am very happy that those are enjoying it have something they enjoy.
I only hope that blizzard will hear my prayers and release blademaster soon and actually put some thought and effort into it. But after this fiesta that is praying for a miracle it seems.

I think getting a blademaster at any time was praying for a miracle, since that’s really close to an arms warrior with just a touch of rogue.
Personally I wont really be bothering with a Dracthyr outside of just seeing the intro cause I really don’t care for their design.
It is what it is. I wasn’t crazy about demon hunters either(though they are admittedly a lot more iconic to Warcraft).

I know I’m generalizing and I had to drop a few WoW based FB groups because of this but Dracthyr players are a bunch of depraved pervs.
Again, apologies for generalizing but some of the social media topics were too much. The race should have been beefier and not look so ridiculous. Much like pandas and vulpera, they don’t feel very warcrafty
And yeah don’t start w me on a Tauren: they’re a rip off of minotaur which is from Greek mythology
Arms warrior? They even almost gave them a Burning Blade ability a few years back.

The problem with new classes is that, after whatever expansion introduced them and made them shine, they look and feel dated and “what is this guy even doing here?”.

Monk has really been the only class that I feel could be relevant after being added. I can see any race picking up the skill set of a martial warrior.
SL was a a nod for DKs, but really the story is over for them. The helm has been shattered and domination magic explained. No one is running around raising any more right now.
DH lost a bunch of relevancy after legion amd it’s going to be hard to bring them back into the story in a way that doesn’t feel forced. Maybe dreadlords can be a tie in for them down the road? No clue.
The dracthyr feel Warcraft enough to me. We have plenty of history of genetic testing with the dragons (look at cata raids for example, the netherwing in burning crusade, etc). It fits the lore. Maybe this isn’t the model we expected, but the class fantasy is Aite.
The inappropriateness surrounding them will subside when the internet creeps move on to the next thing. They have to strike while the iron is hot lol. It’s new so there is shock factor there, but it’ll be cleaned up like the rest of the big IPs they try and pervert. Give it time.
I just dont see blademaster as an arms war. I can see where others would see it that way but eh just not me. They both use a 2h blade and are melee so i can see why ppl would make that connection…
Blademaster never wore heavy armor if i remember correctly. So if anything just seems like wows version of a mobile samurai class.

I don’t see them giving Arms Warriors’ a wind walk ability, nor a mirror image because they’d have to rip it from Mages.
They could implement plate kilts and better transmog options to customize a Blademaster.

Thousands of threads here yet you choose to argue over a hypothetical statement of someone desiring a class that was an iconic part of the warcraft 3 series.
So people said about the Vulpera, and playable Worgen, and Blood elves on Horde. Probably the Blue-skinned Eredar as well? Oh and Void elves, can’t forget them. A lot of immersion breakers out there it seems.
They’ll most likely go the Combat / Outlaw route and just rename Arms to Blademaster.
