Was doing Mara with a regular group and it dropped. It was my 3rd time doing Mara and I didn’t even know about this item. A warrior in the group rolled on it and everyone got mad at him. I rolled Need and the druid tank asked if he could roll Need. I said go for it and I ended up winning the roll. Afterwards the group continued to tell the warrior how he was wrong for that and he was being rude about it. Then I told my guild and he got blasted on trade chat and his guild kicked him. Needless to say, this was a crazy WoW day for me.

The weapon is good for any caster but Mages really reap the effect with AoE
I think a lvl 46 priest would enjoy it.

You don’t have to be happy for me but you’re not gonna convince me that it’s only for Mages because it isn’t. A Mage can abuse the effect with AoE spells but any caster can enjoy the item. That’s all

here’s the deal. You have 100 weapons better than that weapon available to you including the blue staff from ZF. Grats on getting it for sure but it’s not good just because it’s epic. The warrior was WAY wrong to roll on it. The druid shouldn’t have either, especially a feral. You were the “best” choice for it but it doesn’t mean it should see much use outside of farming low level mobs or holy nova lasher farming.
The dagger from SM is better than this for an all the time wpn. This has one use and its for mages.

Am somewhat reminded of loot drama when a Mage won the [Dragon’s Call] from Sunken Temple over a Warrior.

Doesn’t it proc on holy nova? If so, it’s good for DM:E lasher farm.

It does, as long as the mobs are in front of you. It won’t proc on mobs that you hit from behind your character.

Shouldnt this work with holy nova?
Even if its best for mages this should be a boss farming weapon (DM east as an example)

Kinda reminds me of how I got felstriker back in phase 1, It was like a 4am pug for UBRS, at the start the other rogue in the group DCs and i’m still using thrash blade at the time, we get to rend and they’re talking about weapons and I had been stuck on thrash for some time they said felstriker would drop, I laughed at them then it dropped, one of the warriors wanted to roll on it but the rest of the pug kept telling them no and telling them not to take a dagger from a rogue and I got the dagger, now it sits in the bank but i’m never getting rid of that thing.
