Blade of Eternal Darkness proc is breaking sheep. I checked the patch notes and this was supposed to have been fixed in patch 1.12.0 Blizzard changed it where the proc would not happen on effects that would be broken by the proc. It was changed again in Patch 1.12.1 where it only procced on damage spells.

glad to know it drops ive been farming princess solo the last few days and no luck
Dropped for me on my 8th princess run. I was really excited about getting it and targeted it and spent a significant amount of time getting it. Disappointing that it is bugged and I am now in search of a replacement.
8 runs is hardly a " Significant amount of time" lol. for most people having an epic with a 1% drop chance drop within 2 hours is unheard of.

8 full runs of Mara didn’t take 2 hours lol.
You got super lucky with 8 runs, the drop rate is very low. I’ve been grinding it on my shadow priest without any luck. Takes me around 10 minutes per solo kill, killed her around 40 times so far and I was expecting around 200 runs to get it before I started farming her. Some sites say 1%, some say 0.5%. The grind continues!

I found a bug that was fixed in 1.12 vanilla but is broken here in classic as well, they should probably look at all the bugs fixed in that patch in vanilla and run through them in classic to see how many aren’t fixed.
Also the drop rate on that dagger off princess isn’t 1%, its around .1%, or 1 out of every 1,000 or so kills 
Where’d you get that info from on the drop rate?
Legends and Wive’s tales. Unless they’re a dev or he’s run Mara 100,000 times, no one in this thread knows the drop rate.
